hp dv6700 no display

hi my hp dv6700 has no display. it powers on normally and i can hear windows startup sound .. tried connecting it to hdmi and for the crt no display is showing
ive also tried reflowing nvidia ..hope someone can help me

Dv6 series were the worst ever cases in the HP-Nvidia cheap tin BG balls catastrophe . Sometimes , Their problems would even start within one year of purchase ...
Just like when we talk about badcaps manufacturers , it's better to drop the whole thing , a waste of time and money .

Yep, dead GPU, and you can't find the fixed revision anymore so don't waste your time with this.

it is interesting that the laptop works fine with a faulty GPU.
there are a number of videos on the net to convert the graphics from DIS to UMA in HP DV6. have a try.

Reflowing, with T-862**, helped me several times.
Temperatures:
10 min.(rising up from 0 to 150) and then 5 min.(hold between 225-235)
Flux RF800 (liquid)
You have to try at least.

thanks for the reply guys . this were the components that i took off is this 2 related to the nvidia chipset? the solder points of this 2 got off . is there any way i can make a jumper ?

All parts have to be on the motherboard. Otherwise, it will not work properly.

i cant find any videos converting dis to uma on dv6 . can you walk me through it?

Just look i already uploaded how it's done. Reflows are not a fix ....give you a week or a month then is does it all again.

After making modifications, I am getting blank screen on LCD but ok on VGA.
any suggestions?

Hi this model GPU HEAT TO 100c for testing to confirm ....before bios . DCJACK lit? All fine on external ? internal backlight lit only no data showing ....i would do a ohms test on internal display cable known to brake by hing. also did you test your internal display to confirm its good. also check both ends of display cable it might just be unplug on one end.

hi men thanks. a query after changing and removing components do you have to change something else or record bios? Why did I convert it and it doesn't work for me, it gives me a black screen without lighting
