MBA 11" Mid 2011 bad SMC

    Hi guys,
I have this MBA 11" that came with issue on battery not recognised I checked all the lines and replaced the ASL + R7151 & R7152,
R7121 & R7122 and I got it recognised and charging but not fully, some times I get pulses of green and orange and show X on battery.
I came to a conclusion that the issue is from the SMC and I wonder if I buy an SMC chip from china will it be enough or it must be reprogrammed before use?

New SMC will not programmed. You can use any used chip from old scrap boards.

      A1398 - 820-3663-A - not charging
      by obelix24
I got macbook pro A1398 15" from my friend. He told me that he changed battery and macbook stopped charging.

      Boardnumber : 820-3662-A

I've checked and when i connect charger it's recognized by MacOS but there is no light on charger and it's not charging battery (i've tried multiple chargers still the same behaviour), i've also tried 3 different magsafe ports.

I've check U7100 and replaced it multiple times (from other donor boards that i have) (i've tried probably 7 different U7100) - i've also checked current resistors around this ISL (R7151, R7152,...

MacBook Air 2014 battery will not charge
      by ACS-Repair
      Hello All,
I have a unusual problem with a MacBook Air 2014 820-3437 that it will not charge the battery. I have 2 batteries that charge just fine in another 820-3437 so i assume that the batteries themselves are OK. One was new in 2020.

This board started off as a PP3v3_S5 short that was resolved (shorted capacitor) and came to life fine. While testing the computer I noticed that the battery was not charging so I checked the following components:

      Current sensing:
      R7121 10 ohm
      R7122 10 ohm
      R7151 2.2 ohm
      R7152 0 ohm

      Asus eax1600 Pro not recognised
      by Roderick Thomas
I had this card in an old pc and the display became very glitchy. I pulled it out and immediately saw that several 820uF 6.3V caps had blown. I replaced them (but not the other values yet as these look OK) but now the card isn't even recognised, I get one long beep and 3 short ones. I can't see anything wrong with my work. I would very much appreciate advice on how to troubleshoot this card as I've not done one before. If anyone has schematics or a service manual that would be great.

      MacBook Air 2011 13" >820-3023 A< no power (PLT_RESET_L missing)
      by _Cupa
      Dear community,
this is my very first post, I am quite new to macbook repairs, and I am excited:-)

I have a 2011 MacBook Air 13' that does not power on. No fan spin, nothing.

      Here are the specs:

      MacBook Air Mid-2011
      CPU: 1.7 GHz Core i5 (I5-2557M)
      Model: A1369 (EMC 2469)
      RAM: 4 GB
      VRAM: 384 MB

      The first question:
Unfortunately, it came with a 'fake' power adapter which seems not to talk to the computer. Sometimes it does show green light immediately after connecting it to the board,...

Macbook pro 15" 820-2915-B 2011 A1286 boot on but black screen
      by resistor83
Hi everyone, I have this 2011 MacBook Pro 15" model 820-2915-B which has a problem.
I turn it on, the startup sound is heard but the screen doesn't turn on, not even the backlight. The keyboard lights up after a while and the capslock works. If I press any key I can hear sounds as if the system is booting.

I thought it was a screen problem but after changing it the problem remains.

      What could I do?
