Can't you read the motherboard reference ?
All Mobos have a reference printed on it.

there should be no other chips with the same features, without a schematic you have to desolder the chip or one pin and restart the system. If there is an error in the boot that is the right chip.

The TPM holds the key to encrypt the hard drive, not bios passwords.

See attached for the location of the TPM Chip on X240. The top one is SMSC, and the bottom one is TPM. Let me know if you need anything else.

                                  Hi

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.

I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6...

Hello, first of all, excuse me, I am using the translator, English is not my native language.

                                  I have a Lenovo ideapad 330S - 14IKB laptop.

The tablet did not recognize me when I connected it, so I checked the device manager and I realized that there were many with the exclamation mark, so one by one I began to update their drivers until the sign disappeared of admiration, I even updated the BIOS, and the laptop rebooted normally and worked, so far so good, but the tablet still did not recognize me, I read on the internet that it could be due to a...

Lenovo Thinkpad L540 - name of the I/O chip that control fan and sensors?
                                  by insomniacno1
                                  Hi,

Anyone here know the name and model number of the Super I/O chip in the L540 20AU (HM86 EXPRESS CHIPSET)?

I need the information to solve an issue in Linux Mint, where fan is not detected correctly.

If anyone know the exact name of the sensor that show fan speed it would also be great.

I tried looking on my motherboard but can't see it without taking the laptop apart and I really don't want to do that. I asked Lenovo, but they are not answering. I searched google for photos of the motherboard but they were too blurry to read anything, according...
