Acer Aspire 5734z screen backlight problem

I have an Acer Aspire 5734z, and the screen went out on me a couple of days ago.I know my computer is on because it boots up fine and i can hear the fans and everything running. I'm currently connected to my tv via vga to hdmi. The screen on my laptop isn't completely dead, i can barely (that's an understatement) see my items on my screen. I just bought a new battery and tried to see if that would fix it but it sill no back light. Any suggestions, or fixes to this problem will be well appreciated.

You need alot of thinks.
1. To test with another screen. Even smash.
2. Lvds cable. Now here you can test it but you need time.
Tape the cable to the table and use continuity set from multimeter. You need to wigle each time you test a wire.

3. You go to mainboard. There you post pictures (macro) and a schematic.
