lenovo yoga 260 not detect battery

have this lenovo yoga 260 la-C581P that not detect new battery. original is only partially detected with critical condition and nonsense in capacity numbers. comunication with battry have 3.3V, but on battery connector 0V.


any hint where to start?

Test the voltage to ground on pins # 4 and also pin #5 on the battery connector = CLK and Data lines for the BMS. Each should be ~3v3 to ground. If not, review the series resistors in each path. Each resistor should be ~100 ohms. If not, replace the part.

all have 3.3V and resitors are ok

Test with another known good battery. Suggest to try a different brand if using Amazon or similar.

new battery is from Temu. owner bought two because have two laptops. fist battery works ok but this not. and first laptop was been sold so i cannot check second battery with it

There is no enable pin on the connector for the BMS so you should have voltage on the main terminal at all times. As its 0V that means the internal cells are below threshold and it's been disabled by the BMS. Battery has been on the shelf too long and the cells have discharged.

So just a faulty battery.
