HP Envy 13m-bd0023dx forget unplug battery now display blank, before display was working normal, i release and attach the display cable without removing laptop battery

some friends say i blew up the display chipset

does someone here had same experience? may can share some tips on fixing it?

i just hope that i blew come caps, and can fix it, becasue i open it up just to change the LCD, already bought the new LCD also...

Does the unit turn on? Any sign of life?

What is the voltage to ground of +20V_CHG? This is the main power rail. This is to confirm that the power adapter is passing the voltage onto this main power rail through the DCin mosfets.

Check continuity of FU2

i check FU2 it was ok good continuity,

i use usb C to HDMI still can get image/displaying windows normally on external monitors

Confirm the voltage to ground of RV19 = pin #1 on UV1. This LDO is required to output 3v3 to power the LCD display assembly. Suspecting that this regulator has failed since the backlight fuse is ok. The fuse should be ~0R ohms if ok.




Also test the voltage to ground of the DISPOFF# signal. If this voltage is low = 0V, then the display will remain OFF. Vice-versa, require a voltage to enable the display panel.
