Huawei MateBook D16 (RLEF-X) - Touchpad dead in Windows, works in BIOS, Intel UHD driver gives black screen

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a Huawei MateBook D16 and I'm stuck with a persistent issue. I hope someone here can help.

The problems:

1. Touchpad: Works perfectly in the BIOS (cursor moves), but it's completely dead once Windows starts. It doesn't appear in Device Manager.
2. Display: The Intel UHD Graphics driver causes a black screen when booting Windows normally. However, in Safe Mode, the Intel driver works flawlessly and the display is stable. If I uninstall the Intel driver and use the generic Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, the screen works, but the touchpad remains non-functional.

Background / What I've already tried:

• Reprogrammed the BIOS using a CH341A programmer. I used a BIOS image from a post that i made here, which changed the system model name to 'RLEF-XX'.
• Disabled automatic driver installation via Windows Update (Device Installation Settings).
• Uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad driver from Device Manager.
• Installed the 'Intel Serial IO' driver from the Huawei support page and via the Huawei PC Manager.
• Updated the BIOS to the latest version through the PC Manager.
• Used DDU in Safe Mode to completely clean the Intel graphics driver.

Key observation: The Intel driver works perfectly in Safe Mode, which rules out a hardware failure or a corrupt driver. The issue seems to be a conflict with another driver or service that loads during normal Windows startup.

Questions:

1. Could the model name change in the BIOS (from RLEF-XX to RLEF-X) be preventing the Huawei PC Manager from installing the correct touchpad drivers?
2. Does anyone have a clean BIOS dump (with a clean ME region) for this specific model (RLEF-X) that I could try?
3. How can I identify which driver or service is conflicting with the Intel driver during normal boot? (I've tried using msconfig to disable services, but I haven't been able to isolate the problem).
4. Is there a specific, stable version of the Intel UHD Graphics driver known to work with this model in normal boot?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I've attached screenshots of Device Manager and the PC Manager.

I'm attaching the original BIOS dump (from the factory) and the new BIOS image I flashed onto the chip. I would really appreciate it if someone could compare them and point out any differences that could be causing the touchpad and Intel graphics driver issues.

Bro, I suspect this isn't a hardware fault.
I suggest you install Linux and verify if the issues persist. There is a 90% chance that it will run smoothly on Linux. If the problem disappears in Linux, then it’s likely a driver compatibility or communication issue within Windows.
Performing a BIOS ME region clean-up might resolve it, though I can't guarantee it

I suspect the issue is the ME Region of the laptop. I've already done several software tests and everything points to that, but I don't know how to fix it. Could you guide me? The touchpad doesn't work in Windows at all: no cursor, no gestures, no buttons. What information or files should I provide so you can help me? Thanks.
