    Lenovo T15 black screen

    Changed the RAM, a separate module.
    Laptop is coming on but black screen.
    All voltages available.
    bq25700A SMBus Multi-Chemistry Battery Buck-Boost Charge Controller With System Power Monitor and Processor Hot Monitor - this chip is getting really hot when the laptop powers on.
    Battery is not connected.

    Any help would be greatly appriciated

      Remove all power -> meter in resistance mode -> test the resistance to ground of each pin on this device. A possible short on a pin may be causing this device to heat up. It may be defective already and needs to be replaced. Then you can gauge if the fault remains on a fresh known good chip. I would order a few extras while debugging this case.

      Link a schematic if available. Review each mosfet for possible shorts. Someone is leaking to raise the temp of this charger IC.

          No pins are shorted. Can it be an internal shortage?

              Problem

              This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

              Hi, I’m having an issue with this LG 75UK6200: black screen, but backlight and audio are working.

              I already tried several tests. Initially, I disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbon cables to check if half of the screen would appear, but in both cases the screen remained completely black.
              All T-CON voltages measure OK, but I ordered a replacement T-CON anyway (still waiting).

              While waiting, I continued testing and noticed something interesting, if the TV is left powered off for about 10 minutes and then I disconnect only the left ribbon cable, when I power it on...
