Macbook A2338 - Ripped off Trackpad Posts - No Keyboard/Trackpad function

Hi gang, I was hoping someone could help me. Im working on a A2338 Macbook, with torn off standoff posts for the connectors shield. The laptop works, but gets no trackpad/keyboard/haptic functions.

It looks like it just sits on a ground plane. The PPBUS_AON Pins are recieving 12v, pp3v3 present. I dont see any traces going to these pads or near vicinity.

Any ideas what I can check? Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you have tried another cable/trackpad then check diode values on each pin of JT400 and compare them against the Openboarddatavalues for the 820-02020 motherboard.

My assumption is some one likely stripped the screws for the trackpad bracket during a battery replacement and just pulled the whole thing off instead.

Thanks. It turns out there are lines underneat the standoffs, that need to be grounded. I ran wire from the ground plane to a ground point, and all working now.

Trying to use a MacBook Air A1370 (2010) trackpad with a Raspberry Pi 5 over SPI
        by AverageChipmunk
Hi all, I'm working on an art installation and want to use a salvaged MacBook Air trackpad as an input device for my Raspberry Pi 5. I've made *some* progress but I'm stuck on what I believe is an incorrect or unverified pinout. I'm quite new to this, so please bear with me! Would love input from anyone who has done something similar.

        ---

        The Hardware:
        - Raspberry Pi 5
        - MacBook Air 11" A1370 Late 2010 trackpad (part number 821-1110-A)
        - 14-pin FFC connector on the trackpad
        - 14-pin FFC breakout board

        Macbook Air M2 (A2681) - Water - Keyboard + Trackpad Haptics + Speaker
        by swoopy
to begin with: i'm a complete newbie.

I have a Macbook Air M2 A2681 with water damage. Cleaned with alcohol and removed one USB Connector as there was a short (1). System works, except for: keyboard is not working, haptics of trackpad are not working + right Speaker not working. The Lid Angle Sensor was corroded, but seems to work fine (put's the system to sleep, display will turn off and backlight will also go off when the screen get's closed)

I swapped keyboard, trackpad (+cable), speaker didn't change anything, so should be a board issue Questions:

        MacBook Air M3 15" 130C.FFFF Trackpad issue?
        by Bradonis
Hi there, I have replaced the NANDs if my MBA M3 "successfully" to 2TB.
I have the Problem, that when I try to restore the Macbook, it goes beyond the "update NAND" process, but fails when updating the sim chip from the Trackpad/ keyboard. so the whole DFU restore process is failing with the Code: 130C.FFFF.
When checking the log created by the finder there is this "Main"? Problem:

I tried it with a 100% working trackpad from another M3 MBA 15" so when there would be a problem with the trackpad itself, this should have solved my...

Macbook A2338 M2 (EMC 8162) keyboard not functioning, trackpad is working
        by Vliegenier04
Hi! This Mac has been an headscratcher for me, I can't seem to figure out the issue. The Macbook has gotten water damage to the front of the keyboard connector and battery connector. The keyboard connector was dead, by which I mean it was completely corroded and I have replaced it with a brand new one.
I have verified all the pins are connected to the main board and the main voltages (PP1V8_AONSW_KBD_ISNS and PP3V3_AON_KBD_CONN) are both present, with and without keyboard attached.

Unfortunately, the keyboard does NOT want to work, caps lock LED not functioning as well as any...

A2159 MacBook Pro, Entire Keyboard Not Working but Trackpad Working Normally
        by FARXWAY
Currently working on an A2159 MacBook Pro with an issue I haven’t seen before. The entire keyboard is non functional while the trackpad works normally and is fully responsive. I also noticed the keyboard backlight is not working at all. I already replaced the full palmrest / keyboard assembly along with the trackpad flex cable, but the issue remains exactly the same.

        Any possible solutions for this?
