Hello all,
I recently got my hands on a broken MSI GF65 Thin 10UE.
When I plug in the charger I get nothing. Not even the charge light turns on.The charger tests for 20.1V Output, until I plug it in. After that it's short protection turns on.
I'm pretty sure I isolated the fault to the GPU (internal short), since I only get 0.5V draw at 1A if I inject anywhere downstream of the DC port.
There are 3 inductors that connect to the gpu and I tried lifting one of them, but can't seem to get it off the board.
No matter how much flux and low melt solder I use it doesn't budge (not even on one side)
Any tips on how to disconnect the dGPU?
Thanks for any help!
