HP 15-dy0013dx doesn't Power On, Power LED Bilinking, needs help for trouble shooting

    Hello Every Genuis

I have a laptop from my friend, model is "HP 15-dy0013dx" , Logic Board model is DA00P5MB6D0 REV MODEL: 0P5

this Laptop come with a BIOS Warning issue, the Keyboard CAPS LED Blinking 3 times slow, 2 times fast , don't remember exactly, someting like this, has a Meaning , also Fan will run

but I googled, people says this Meaning EC have a issue to read BIOS, so I use CHA314A programmer to read and write (wrote the same content file read from BIOS), after I flashed the BIOS, the CAPS LED doesn't blink anymore

symptom changed, after Press Power Button, Power LED Bilinking repeatly but slow, longer than a second, looks like EC powered on ,and faild, and try to power on again, only this action, FAN not run

I purchaged a Programmed EC from aliexpress, replaced, same issue

and I downloaded BIOS file from here, even I used Clean ME bios which I build , same issue
Other Person's BIOS file write to FLash, same issue

I dont have a current meter, can't tell how much is the current, but pretty sure no Shortage , just Power LED Bilinking

help me with any clue, thanks Guys

I know this place is a good place, will keep updates for this Laptop in this thread!

    Thanks Again

    Hello,

If you desolder bios take a Clear picture of the area maybe you move something or maybe you have a Bad solder on your chip.

Have you tried with a different ram ? if you still have a copy of your original bios dump try to verify it before soldering it back on the mother board
else request or search for a bios on the forum and try that

I don't have other ram ,but this laptop have two rams , and I removed both ram to test, dont need a ram presents before BIOS warning i believe

the problem is now the laptop even dont have a speaker Warning or Caps Lock Bilinking warning , or even the CPU Fan doen't run

I forget AC Adapter in Company this weekend, i use battery tested again

With batter installed, before I pressed the Power Button, i got some voltage
            VIN 12V88
            +3VPCU 3V39
            +BAT_RTC 3V21

            after Pressed Power Button

            EC ITE_5570
S5_ON 3V3 when Power LED On
            +3VL_EC 3V3
            +3VL_ECACC 3V3
+1.8V_DEEP_SUS 1V8 when Power LED On Resistance Good

            SLP_S3# 0V Resistance Good
            SLP_S4# 0V Resistance Good

i believe the CPU not even reached to S4 Level, still have some issue before quit from S4, let alone S3

            I checked EC around,
            > Thermal Signal was good
            > LID signal was good

When I cloded the LID , the Power-Off-Power sequence sitll running, I believe the issue was in early stage

If you miss SLP4 & 3 check presence:
              • DSWROK_EC
              • RSMRST#
              • EC_RTC_RS
              • RTC Crystal
PS: i'm sure too you don't break the BIOS chip but you may have move some resistance or whatever around bios chip

                  According Schematic Page 2, VIN and S5_ON generates 4 Power signals +3VPCU , +3VS5 , +5VPCU and +5VS5

                  those voltage all Presents well

                      also ,there is NO CLK_24M_KBC

if NO 24M Clock to EC causes NO SUSON signal from EC, that make sense

anyone can tell is SUSON depends on EC firmware?

also CLKRUN# alwasy LOW, which means EC didn't work!

I'm pretty sure SUS_ON need SLP_S4 to start.
CLKRUN# => is low ON, this signal is supposed to be low on normal operation.

CLK_24M_KBC low maybe a problem, check both side of R1203 if it's present?

                        Check DNBSWON# too.
I'm pretty sure you PCH you need DSWROK_EC to start the SLP_S4.

                          by macabook
                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                          🧩 Initial Issue
                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                          • External display (HDMI) shows
                          ...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
                          by cr4zychriss
                          Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
                          by pirati
                          Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

                          by grimacelord
                          Hi folks,

I'm having a hard time extracting this Dell BIOS. I have a Dell Latitude E6530 that has BIOS corruption and I need to reflash with CH341A programmer. I have already taken dumps of both the 4MB and 8MB chips on the motherboard.

Service tag number for this model is: "JYDWYW1".
Link to latest BIOS for this Service Tag: https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER05371360M/1/E6530A22.exe

                          I have tried:
                          • Simply extracting with 7zip
                          • PFSExtractor
                          • Using "/writeromfile, /writehdrfile, and /writehexfile" commands
