IF the seller says that the item is exactly what is pictured then this one should be good to go.
If I had to chose I would go with this one
On your other link, I do not know for sureComment

Did you take the old adapter apart? It most likely still works, it seems the HP connectors/wire that goes to the computer shorts out, and the SMPS won't turn on because of that. I've encountered tons of them that have done this, granted, they are the 65W ones though. If you replace the wire and/or connector, you might be able to get some more life out of that old adapter.Last edited by ben7; 05-31-2014, 12:17 PM.Muh-soggy-kneeComment

The problem on these is usually in the plug that goes into the laptop or just outside of the rubber shield that is supposed to absorb flexing
Either a wire cracks in half or the solder pops loose right off of the connectors barrelComment

Re: Quality Replacement AC adapters. Are there any left?
No, those adapters you listed are not necessarily real. Let me elaborate:
They have large quantities of these adapters. Did they themselves buy them from China? If so, they're probably counterfeits. Very good counterfeits.
The closest thing to a surefire way of obtaining a genuine adapter is to look for a pi]used[/i] adapter. That way you know that it came together with a laptop, and perhaps the laptop was discarded, but the adapter is still good. Be careful with used adapters when the seller describes it thusly "I bought this as a replacement, but didn't end up needing it." In this case, you can't be sure whetehr he cought a counterfeit replacement himself.
Yea, as was mentioned, if you have a good adapter, but the tip is frayed, you can purchase new wires and then hook them up."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

It's also worth replacing the secondary electrolytics in a counterfeit adapter with durable Japanese electrolytics. Most of these are flybacks with durable 600V MOSFET switches, and they can run for years with good electrolytics. I use Rubycon ZLH or ZLG, but there are lots of choices available.Comment

The charger arrived and seems original. I tested it and the laptop works but the adapter gets hot during charging or high cpu usage.Comment

Re: Quality Replacement AC adapters. Are there any left?
That's because what you got is probably fake...
You didn't get the gist of what I was attempting to convey to you - which is that "New" adapters, regardless of where they come from, are usually Chinese fakes. A giveaway is a seller who has a large quantity of them (Like the seller you purchased from), the exception being sellers who sell lots of them in a single listing (And then they are usually used). Again, it's irelevant that you bought it from Europe. He's probably just a European seller re-selling fake Chinese products.
Crack it open and post pics. Let it be an expensive lesson to you."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! The owner of the laptop said that the original adapter that came with the laptop got hot too.
I have a better idea, but you have to wait a couple of days.Comment

Re: Quality Replacement AC adapters. Are there any left?
Out of curiosity why don't people try used genuine adapters? No crappy chinese fakes that way, a lot cheaper, and I've never had a problem with any I've bought. by ezeniaHello,
Not sure if this is the correct section, but I have a PS4 controller that I am trying to fix. It developed stick drift on the left stick and the usual simpler methods did not fix the problem.
So I went on eBay and ordered some replacement potentiometers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174967976757 is where I got them from.
I took the green potentiometers off the replacement sticks and soldered them onto the PCB. Assembled the controller and ran some tests. The drifting was somewhat fixed (not fully in center, but way better than before). However,... -

I don't have to explain the significance of restoring this; 16:10 Aspect Ratio, 1920x1200; very high end Samsung LTM240CT04 panel. Add in it's blonde (will pair nice with a retro rig) and also ELO touchscreen. It is very well made, very heavy. Even used these are hard to find and expensive....but it had some problems...
Problem one, the external PSU was missing. I found one in my stash that had the correct voltage (12V) with the goofy 4-pin plug it used. It however was light on the...-

by dalek1967I posted another thread like this for a TV power supply. This is for information purposes for anyone who has a bad one and wants to repair instead of replace. There is no model number on these but internally they appear to be the same, fan being the only difference I can find. If a component is damaged and can't be identified, this may help. One I have has the brand name XinJieBao on the front above the display. The other isn't marked.
My impressions. I can't say for sure on the chips and such but the HV capacitor is a very low quality one if I think. I tried to google it and also... -
by karatzdiHello,
I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!
So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.
Spent some time downloading the Service...-

by DXseekerMOHello everyone!
Recently I've noticed that some ShopJimmy backlight strips don't have double-sided tape installed upon them when an application calls for it, and I must purchase the tape separately. In a recent chat conversation with a customer service agent I told them if this tape wasn't applied when it was called for I would begin to consider ordering my backlight strips elsewhere. It looks like this time may have come.
I recently got a TCL 65S4 with bad backlights. After looking at the SJ listing here: https://www.shopjimmy.com/tcl-jl-d65...365as-m-led-ba...Yes0%1All backlight strips are the same quality0%1No0%0 - Loading...
