Trying to learn how to fix computers/laptops and came upon a friends laptop that died recently so I decided to try to use it to learn. I took apart the laptop and the motherboard is NM-A074 VIUU3 rev 1.0. I used a multimeter to check if there is power coming in from the dc jack and there is 20v coming into the board. From the dc jack I traced it to a fuse and then to a inductor which both showed 20v. After that I couldn't tell where things were going. I then tried to check all the other big inductors and I did notice 2 of them were short to ground. I have attached a picture of my board with a red circle around the two inductors that were short to ground. What would be my next step to figuring out what part is bad? Thanks.
