Hello all!
Recently I've got a broken Macbook Air M1 2020 A2337 of eBay with a broken screen and not turning on issue.
After some tinkering I've found C5201 capacitor to be blown. This is where I hit a wall since I am a total noob in this area and have no idea what else to look for. C5201 is on one line with 3 more capacitors which visually seem ok, but beep on continuity mode and also both sides of all capacitors beep when tested with ground from the board. This to me sounds like a short, but I am not able to find what component is before the capacitors to test it. Any tips and help with be greatly appreciated.

by OneRefreshHello everyone,
I am troubleshooting a MacBook Air M1 Model A2337, Logic Board 820-02016 that suddenly went completely dead with no signs of life, no trackpad click, no display.
Here is what I have done and found so far.
Initial testing involved trying a soft reset and testing different USB-C chargers including a 75W PC charger, but the board pulled no current and remained unresponsive.
Battery isolation was the next step. I opened the Mac and disconnected the battery connector. Testing on wall power yielded the same result, it was totally dead.... -
Hey, I have a macbook air M1 A2337 i replaced the display on using an AM display from MobileSentrix for a customer they returned because the camera wasn't working i tried another display from mobile sentrix still no camera, updated the software still nothing, i just took a display off our store macbook and no display still calibrated it using self repair and still no camera, so I have come to the conclusion its a board issue, any else ever encounter this, or any ideas on where to look on the board for shorts or anything.

by ledbylightHi all!
This is my first post and also one of my first "deep dives" into electronic repair. I'm used to doing basic tasks with computers, like SSD/CPU replacement, thermal past re-application, etc. So here's the story...
I have a MacBook Air M1 that I bought to repair (I know, I'm weird; though I'm a CompSci major and want to learn more
, and it will not display anything on the internal display. I have verified that there's no backlight, as I booted the laptop and shined a flashlight on it and there's no display; it does completely boot up, and shows fine on an external...
