To save time, post a screen grab from the schematics of this part. Often, the part number will be in the schematics. However, Apple / Foxconn will sometimes make the part only available to themselves. AliExpress is a good source for such parts but donor boards are even better.

Btw U9000 must be shorted because it’s glowing under the thermal camera with 1V 3A so where would I get that from? And what exactly is that chip because I see that it has a ton of different pins on it on the board viewComment

Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).
I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.
I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.

Good day all,
I got a 2007 MacBook from a friend. The fan was not working so it was overheating.
Once the fan was swapped, I installed an OS and it worked fine.
The board had quite a few corroded spots so I removed it, touched those spots with a soldering iron, washed the board in PCB cleaning fluid (I've done that many times), rinsed it with distilled water, dried it etc.
Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. It does turn on, fan spins, power LED turns on. But no picture.
If I see that right, I have missed VCORE on L7100 (page 59).... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I’m trying to remove a component from a 2021 MacBook logic board, but I’m having trouble.

I’m using hot air at 480 °C with full airflow and good flux, but the solder paste is not melting.
I know there’s a lot of thermal dissipation from the board, and I suspect the copper planes are absorbing most of the heat.
Do you have any tips for this kind of board? Would a preheater help?
