hello friends, I hope someone can help me with the case of the Asus x450ep rev 2.0 mobo, the problem is that there are some letters that don't work, I've tried replacing it with another keyboard, but still the same letters don't work, I'm confused about where have to measure it.

The keyboard scanning is handled by the EC (separate stand alone controller) on the logic board. This EC has its own firmware to perform tasks like scanning for the keypress. Any liquid damage on the board? If yes, that must be cleaned / repaired.
If not, consider to reflash the logic board to the latest version of the bios. The fault may be with the EC where one of the scan lines is missing.
You can use an external USB keyboard to navigate and use the laptop. USB keyboards operate with a HID USB model and all operating systems recognize this style of function. USB mouse is the same.

* recommends the same - update to the latest BIOS version for your unit

Do not see an EC bios in my database.
My suggestions are to:
1) desolder and back up the EC and also the main bios that are on your motherboard
2) apply the latest main bios that is posted on their website at:
X450EP - Support (asus.com)
3) test again. From another found link, the main bios mentions how the EC firmware is updated so it is very possible for the main bios to perform the correction on the EC bios. If that fails, you can try to fully erase the EC bios before powering up. Post the same request inside the dedicated bios forum and someone there will be able to confirm if Asus reflashes the EC bios via the main bios. If still of interest, can post the X450EP bios images from my database and link them here.
