I would like to create a table, or more likely a guideline about the voltage rails and their possible resistance rail.
I know that the motherboard design has a very big depend on the rail's resistance, but I would like to know what is the smallest value for a rail that can be acceptable. For example, I heard that some new gaming motherboards can have 0,5 Ohm resistance on the GPU rail, but on an older type, it could be a sign of a shorted GPU rail.

I am repairing a laptop that has a short on it's 3.3v rail. I injected 1v on the rail and it was pulling 200mv but can't find any heat anywhere with thermal camera or alcohol. What else can I do to find what's shorted? -

Originally this laptop has a short on main Power rail . Thé main short is gone, i have found 2 pea16b mosfets Next to the SN51285ARUKR shorted , and the Chip Intself was Also shorted , i have removed them and main Power rail IS not shorted anymore , but right Now im still eating for this parts And in checking rest of the board .
