Yes its programmable. May program itself on first boot but cant be sure about it as SIO gets self programmed on some and needs manual programming in some platforms.

I have a problem with programming Nuvoton NCPE386PB0DX. I did config using schematic and boardview, I selected 160k chip capacity according to specs. When I'm connecting to the chip with the SVOD 4 It's auto connecting with 128kb capacity (not selected by me 160k in the pre-config motherboard), I can't change/reconfig using "config NUVOTON" because there is no option to select 160kb capacity, that's means I can't properly read/write or erase the chip, just I have 1F inside after reading. Hello,
I had to replace the NUVOTON chip in this laptop. It was shorted, showing 0 ohms on the 2R2 resistor. After replacing it, I now measure 3.4 V on the same resistor, so the new chip seems fine. However, the laptop still does not work. When I connect a USB‑C power adapter, it draws almost no power and the LED blinks white/orange.
There are no other shorts on the board, so this chip probably needs to be programmed. I was hoping it would program itself automatically, but that did not happen. The problem is that I have not found any information on how to program this chip... -

i have a new nuvoton chip like NPCX998, NPCX499,.... i know that need to load data to it before use. i researched, and found out that J-link charger can do this, i don't know how to use it, someone who has used it please help me
