820-01814_A Power cycling between 5v.040 A to .468A then it repeats

I would like some help and advice which will be much appreciated, I am looking at a mac Macbook Pro A1990 board 820-01814-A. When I connect the USBC meter via external Power Supply I see Power cycling between 5v.040 A to .468A then it repeats.
After doing some diode tests I get a complete Short on L9530 which is the output inductor for PP1V8_ssd1.
I have given the screenshot here, I would like your recommendation and advice if anything I need to test get this issue sorted Or is it SSD short , Your help on this will be much appreciated

What is the exact resistance to ground of L9530? No power during this resistance checking.

Would you have an adjustable dc power supply for voltage injection? Use it to dial up 1 volt (not higher); 3-5A current. Apply this voltage at L9530. Check who is heating up.

Hope it will be a capacitor. When found, flux and remove it. Then test the resistance again at L9530.

Thanks mon2 for your help , I have shown here the picture of Diode mode reading while probes shorted and while testing at L9530 .
I do have Adjustable bench top Power supply I will do the test today a as per your advice and come back with what I see,
Just a clarify my understanding, I need to feed that 1 V nearly 5A setting to the point where the PP1V8_SSD1 of the Inductor ?

      Thanks again

I should have simply said Diode reading 0.001 .

Yes. There is a short on this power rail. Proceed with a 1 volt (not higher) voltage injection at the power inductor- downstream / consumer side. If practical, you can lift one side of this inductor to isolate which side of this inductor is shorted. Use lots of flux.

Thanks, mon2 again. Here I have attached pictures of what I see, please check and tell me if my setup is correct if so I see that U9200 is only the component that gets hot. That is worrying not sure of the IC.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated

Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

                  (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
                  (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling
                  (OD_LE)5. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM4) 6. 0.9 volts cycling
                  (OD_ON)7. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM3) 8. 0.9 volts cycling
                  9. ground (PWM2) 10. 0.9 volts cycling...

                  Hi all

There's two other threads about this monitor with seemingly the same problem. The problem was resolved in one case by replacing the entire PSU board and in the second one by replacing an unknown IC.

                  https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40512

The first one has pictures of the pcbs and I noticed that there's one IC and assorted caps not populated on mine (but the PCB itself looks identical) so I thought that'd warrant a new thread.

It's my dad's old monitor. He...

                  Hi all,

I got a 16inch MacBook Pro showing 5v and 0,3a on the left ports and right side has one power cycling and one showing nothing. The one cycling shows 30c under thermal camera. Surrounding components show no corrosion or any shorts.
Any ideas what to check next? The whole board looks clean compared to the other A2141s i saw....

Samsung UN55FH6030, perfect size for my office and does OTA well but isn't a smart TV. That's OK because I am a TV station engineer and only need it for OTA monitoring.

About a month ago it started power cycling itself once or twice a day and now it's nearly continuous once it's been on for a few minutes. Changing channels would really start it cycling and it would take several minutes to stabilize but now it's just doing it almost non-stop without changing channels.

Once I disconnected the antenna I found that I could change channels with no issues. My guess is...

                  Good Afternoon

I'm working on an A2179 thats taking 5v and 0.345a from the charger with the board removed.
Both ports are cycling and seem to only work on one side. The side that works is different for each port. - I hope that makes sense.
I'm not sure if this has to do with the board or the ports.

I replaced both CD3217 chips months ago and set the board aside when they didn't fix the issue.

U3060 gets hot on the thermal cam and heat cycles with the charger. I checked all pins on U3060 in continuity mode and nothing was short. (I did not check...
