Ok - good on both updates. You should not use the connector with the burnt pads. Is the paddle board from the other side available for use? Any issues with the contacts over there? Do take a known good paddle board and share it across the 2 sides of the logic board but only after the power is OFF at the power adapter. Never swap anything while 'hot' on.

If the adapter is a known good power delivery adapter (ideally is from Apple) and can offer the 20V power delivery contract then you can continue to use it here. We use a few 3rd party models rated @ 100W and higher. The cable between the power delivery brick and the logic board must be a special cable with e-marker support. Otherwise, the current support will be much lower.

The general guideline is to review the LDO (power) rails on each power delivery controller (CD3215/CD3217, etc. - named as 'ACE' controller in the schematic).
