So what did you do with it? you possibly don't have any info on 3 components that are on the card that I'm missing on mine
Do you have Boardviews for this model?

This is special thermal paste to cooling vrams ect. It cannot be replaced with standard thermalpaste

it is kind of thermal putty. if cooler dont have strong grip u must use putty , because pads will not be squeezed enough to make good contact

or use thicker thermal pads ...

Laptop overheating after replacement thermal paste
            by Veyron7887
Hi. I have Asus X55C laptop from year 2013. It has i3-2328M CPU. I replaced stock thermal paste with high quality thermal paste. Before thermal paste replacement, I measured CPU temperature Around 65-70 degrees Celcius with stock thermal paste. If after the replace thermal paste, I measured CPU temperature around 80-84 degrees Celcius and fan don't stop when system is idle. I replaced the thermal paste several times but still did not change. Where is the problem?

Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA – Won’t Turn On After Thermal Paste Change
            by maxbers
            Hi everyone,

I’m new here and I’m trying to learn some board-level repair skills.

I have an Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA that won’t turn on after a thermal paste replacement. The laptop was fully working before the disassembly. I only removed the cooling system to clean the CPU and apply new thermal paste.

            Current behavior:
            • No normal power on
            • Battery only: the white power LED turns on for a few seconds, then turns off. No display, no fan activity. I must disconnect the battery or hold the power button for ~15 seconds to get the LED again.
            • AC only: the white

            Thermal-Paste and Heat-Sink-Compounds - Common Questions
            by Tesla
So, for laptops (sometimes it just has a CPU, but sometimes also a dedicated GPU as well) ...

Is there anything wrong with using a good (non conductive) general purpose one like GC-Electronics Type-Z9 Heat Sink Compound. I've used it for AVRs and older Intel desktops (like Core-2) and it seemed fine. I like the idea of using a non-conductive one (very little chance of anything getting shorted-out because of it ending-up in the wrong place). It's Silicone based.

If you don't care for that one (maybe not specialized enough for a hot recent UltraBook) what do you think of...

            Can thermal paste cause corrosion?
            by caspian
            Dear members,

I have got an ordinary gray thermal paste that has no name/model on the box.
I put some of this thermal paste on a 128-pin QFP IC. A bit of this thermal paste was put on pins of the IC.
I tried to clean the pins by thinner but the thermal paste cannot be cleaned from the pins properly. because the pins are tiny and the thermal paste is stuck between them.
Is it possible that the thermal paste damages pins of the IC in long term by creating corrosion or something?
Is it safe to leave the thermal paste on the pins?
            I guess the thermal paste...

General Rules - Thermal Pad Thickness for Laptop GPUs & Motherboards
            by Boardview and Schematic Bot
Our user Devicefixer kindly sent this advice. Feel free to append your own tips to this thread

Thermal Pad Thickness Guide for Laptop GPUs & Motherboards

General Rules of Thumb for Laptop GPUs:
When specific schematics or manuals do not specify thermal pad thickness, these general rules
apply to most modern gaming laptops (NVIDIA GTX/RTX and AMD RX series):

VRAM (Video Memory Chips): Typically 0.5mm or 1.0mm. (Using pads that are too thick here will
prevent the heatsink from making contact with the main GPU die, causing instant overheating)....
