Hp dv5-1235dx cant install os

I have a problem regarding this unit

the unit can't install on

via usb,external dvd and internal dvd.

things that ive done so far

replaced dvd with new one and cd installer and tried new usb bootable to all of

the usb slots.still the problem occurs.

tried new hdd same problem

the unit detects the usb hdd and dvd but after the logo appears and pressing f9 to boot it takes me forever to wait

any ideas sir where to start.

btw i found corroded resistor i think near the ocillator Ive already replaced it and cleaned with thinner

still same result do i need to reflow southbridge chip?

does ene chip had to do with this problem?

can you please mark the oscillator chip you replaced, would be really helpful to us beginners.

BTW have you tried changing your ram modules? I highly speculate RAM being your problem here.

ENE chip is infrared controller, so definitely the problem is not there.

The ENE is the CAFE - I believe it controls the auxillary features like power button, LEDs, RTC, PS/2 (if present) and infrared like Un1qu3 said.

I already replaced

ram hdd and dvdrom sir

still same result,

on the picture above Ive only replaced the corroded part the color black.

i dont know either i thought this was the problem so i just cleaned and replaced this but still my problem is not solved

Try to start installation without HDD

Are you saying the middle component in the red circle is the resistor that
was corroded and you have replaced?

Can you do a clear close up picture of it.

tried installing without hdd and keyboard,
still same problem after the logo of hp appears
blackscreen

things that ive done yesterday reset cmos batt
and disabled keyboard remove wifi dvd tried new proc,
same problem

reflow northbridge and southbridge
same problem

after booting into cd or usb or external dvd blackscreen

i even waited for 1 hour just to make sure.but still the same problem occur.

im out of luck.maybe its on the board problem.

flux and solder ene chip pins in circle.

yes sir tried changing ram stick different brands same problem

yes kabayan di ko pa na try tanggalin ene chip nilagyan ko lang ng flux then pinagalaw ko konti ganun padin eh baka pullout ko nalang yung board

looks like your southbridge might need to be reflowed. the sb controlls for hd, wifi, ram, and so forth (i believe).

i think u need to do a BIOS recovery. As dv5 series has some BIOS issues. i have dont some dv5 with this kind of issues, ie, OS cant be install or cant boot to OS etc etc.

when u go to BIOS setting, in the BOOT menu do u find all the media listed or are all hidden?
