    Compaq CQ60 Wont charge Battery

    Hi Guys,

    I have a CQ60 which works fine off the charger but wont charge the battery.
    The charging notification is stuck on 75%, but the battery doesn't actually hold any charge.
    I've tried a new battery and charger but still the same problem, I've even tried the uninstalling "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" trick.

    Anyone have any ideas ?

      did u use windows 7 ?

          Yes, it's on Windows 7

              look on the board and replace the system charger (ISL6251 integreted circuit )

                      I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

                      For Badcaps Readers, Please note that I am hopefully going to present this same message to Lenovo to see if they have any insight to the matter as well and figured to share the entirety here for clarification. The System is out of warranty as it is but does have the option to have it extended.

                      Charge a L19D3PDA battery externally from the laptop

                      Is there a way to externally charge a L19D3PDA battery from the laptop. I have a broken charging port on my laptop and am trying to find a way to charge the battery for it. I have been doing some research and I have found that there is a module, TP4056, that can be used to charge Li-ion batteries. It says it is used to charge single cell Li-ion batteries. The L19D3PDA battery is a three cell battery. Is it possible to use the module to charge my battery and it would just be very slow? Or would that be a bad idea. Is there a different kind of module I can use to charge my Li-ion three cell battery?...

                      I got to fix STIHL AL 300 battery charger, for mower machines, which works fine only when the battery is discharged ( haven't tried it already, since I got only fully charged battery, but that's why I have been told ). When the battery has some % of voltage, the charger doesn't work. In this case, the red LED starts to flash 10 times, and there is no voltage at the output. The customer tried more batteries, and it worked like this with all tried batteries ( so looks like not a battery related issue ).

                      I have a drill and battery but no charger so I bought a "universal charger" 120ac in ... 12vdc out (not really universal in lithium world). Anyway it has three contacts, positive, negative and "T" (temperature sensor). I connected those contacts to the contacts on the battery. No charging happened and only the status light is on (green solid) which the label indicates "100% charged".... but the battery isn't near that at around 9v and dying.
