Hello. I'm experiencing an issue with my Aorus 15p xc laptop.
The motherboard is GA-RX5LXC.
The problem I'm encountering is that the laptop sometimes fails to power on, and it appears that a protective mechanism is being triggered.
I've observed that while the laptop is in operation, the EDP_U8 microchip (I've included a photo) heats up significantly, reaching temperatures of 75-80 degrees Celsius.
However, when I disconnect the LCD from the motherboard, the EDP_U8 microchip doesn't heat up. I've conducted power supply measurements with the screen disconnected.
Upon connecting the screen, the voltage at the contact drops from 1.22V to 1.089V, and the microchip starts to heat up intensely. Through testing with a tester, I've determined that this contact is connected to multiple contacts on the EDP_U2 PS8461E microchip. Does anyone have access to the datasheet for the EDP_U8 or EDP_U2 PS8461E microchip, or the schematic diagram for this motherboard.
Thanks for help
