    Macbook 820-3115 Missing hard Disk

    Hello,

I have a Macbook 820-3115 with the question mark sign.

    Replaced the cable.
    Tried a New SSD.

    Issue Persists.

Cleaned the and Soldered the Connector of the Hard Disk on the board. It worked once and then again the same.
Went ahead and replaced the connector. Still the same.

What can be at fault here.

I had one of these once. Couldn't figure it out until I replaced the cable that runs from logic board to the drive. it's apparently a well know issue.
it looks like you have done this already but if the cable is not new, it may also be a bad cable.

Ditto the above comments by @ACS. Do NOT, repeat do NOT sharp crease the flex cable between the SSD / drive and the motherboard. The contacts will break and cause the fault. Found our tech was doing this repeatedly to get a nice bend of the shape of the cable. The client kept bringing back the unit with the same fault. Only after observing his installation procedure - told him to stop. It was like cleaning wrinkles out of a shirt - he kept applying pressure on the cable.

The last time, he did not do this and the unit worked fine.

It was always the cable to me at same situations.
I never bothered to bend the new one at the corners so never had issues after replacing them.

          Apple Macbook A1707 Hard disk
          by Eleways
          Hi

I've an Apple macbook A1707 with Hdd defect.

This product don't work with a normal Hard disk, but the hard disk it's a BGA component on the logic board.

          My question is:
Can i exchange the hard disk, by desolder the bga Hard disk and replacing this?

Can i replace with a different one (es 500 gb instead of 250 gb)

This Macbook has T1 security check.

          Thanks and best regards

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
          by envym
          Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

          Macbook Pro Retina 13” 820-3476-A (A1502) - missing PM_SLP_S4_L
          by salopian
Hello. I would need some advice please.

My son's MBP suddenly stopped working and is now only getting the green-then-orange light on Magsafe and no fan spin.
He brought the MBP into the house (22 deg C) from a very cold conservatory (-3 deg C) and turned it on straight away. The Mac suddenly died a few minutes later.

I examined the logic board and couldn't find any signs of water damage, corrosion, blown up components etc. Nothing was ever spilt on it, and the logic board looks immaculate.

I have already replaced the logic board with another...
