Hi guys,
I bought a Macbook Pro A2338.
It wouldn't power on & it was locked, but I got the receipt.
Warranty repair was refused because the owner didn't know how to remove find my.
Long story short, I was able to remove the lock with the receipt via apple.
Sent the laptop to warranty auth. service provider, and surprise "has been tampered with".
Asked for pictures and It seems like indeed someone took out a resistor.
Could you please tell what this is & why would anyone tamper with a new laptop under warranty in this way? I suspect they wanted to return it, and made it not power on by removing that. Could it be a 0 ohm resistor?
No signs of water damage.
Thank you!
