Nintendo switch faint image black screen

    Hi folks

Like the title says, Initially the device didn't have image, turned it was a backlight connector problem. I shone light into the LCD there was clear image, only dark

After soldering new BL connector, the backlight works perfectly. Here is the big F up. During plugging lcd connector, I bent some pins unknowingly.

Put it back together, turned it on, surprised, backlight is on but there is no image now. Well, sort off. I i see carefully there is faint image resembling normal one, but only on right part on the screen albeit really hard to make it out.

Sadly I don't have another lcd nor board to test. Is there a way to find out whether the damage is on motherboard side (power circuit, lvds, etc ) or LCD has given up it's ghost ?

    Thanks

    Oops forgot to add.

The faint image happens with the newly replaced good new lcd connector.

With previous bent lcd connector there was no image at all

No LCD image after connector replacement – lifted components and damaged resistor (Nintendo Switch Lite HDH-CPU-02)
      by Tomylee
      Hi everyone,

Sorry for the person who’s going to read all this !
I'm on a Nintendo Switch Lite, motherboard HDH-CPU-02.

While replacing the left joystick, I had to remove the motherboard to access the connector underneath. When I lifted the LCD connector latch, it broke (the plastic had become brittle over time), so I replaced the entire connector.

During the desoldering of the LCD connector using hot air, three small components located just below the connector (likely 0402 capacitors) came off and remained stuck to the bottom of the...

HP Elitebook Screen blank - backlights but no image

      Hi guys
I'm trying to fix this laptop screen

Basically the owner is a computer shop and they brought it to me with two screens. They said the repair shop they use could not fix it, so I thought i would try to see if I am better than their current repairer!

OK so I have the original screen which works but has lines across the bottom quarter of the screen

I have the replacement screen, which they fitted and it worked. They then put the laptop on one side for a couple of weeks until they found a buyer. When they showed it to the buyer, the screen would...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
      by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
      by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Need HELP troubleshooting solid Blue screen Nintendo Switch BSOD
      by slimmy182
I recently got a switch which did not turn on (blu screen and could not do anything). It draws 15v so battery is charging as normal. I opened it, it's never been touched by anyone, rose old thermal paste still there and foam attached to the heat sync. On microscope I did not see any sign of corrosion or any particular damaged components, only dust. Completely cleaned the board with isopropyl alcohol and give a try with no luck. I cannot exclude that this consol had not being dropped to the ground since it has a sing on external enclosure. Anyway detaching the eMMC screen did not light up and enter...
