DJI Mavic Air Pulls Too The Left why ?

Hello everyone little stuck here, first time fixing one of these drones.
I've a DJI Mavic Air, the unit had two faulty motors originally on the left side. They were physically faulty, I've replaced them correctly anyway.

The fault remains the same though, during take off the left two motors accelerate way harder than the right motors. Pulling the drone to the left and consequently crashing it.

I've done a few basic tests on the ESC board, there are no short circuits evident on any component and all the of mosfets gates appear healthy, all other components are fine too. I can only assume the driver ic is faulty at this point, but it's flashed and impossible to test whilst the units on!

Anyone been able to repair these driver boards ? Is my assumption even correct the driver board could cause such a fault ? It's not related to anything stupid unfortunately the controller is calibrated perfect and blades on correct.

    Cheers everyone

can you tie it down and meter the voltage at each motor to check for voltdrop in the driver or cables?

It's hard as it won't spin the motors with out the blades on, I'd have to come up with a right jig to test it. The boards sandwich together with several short flexes too. Shame there's no live data feeds that I can assess from the system to see what exactly it thinks it's doing.

I don't think its the driver board. I think the problem is before that.

Bang on my friend! Hope you are well

A very dangerous exercise was undertaken by myself in order to diagnose the gyroscope actually being the cause. It makes perfect sense now, I'm sure the gyroscope is what possibly killed the motors too not the initial crash. The customer said it just appeared to stop spinning the left set of motors after being very erratic and hard to control.

I held the drone by hand whilst having the motors spinning lolllllllll I'm aware I could be seriously injured by this, I did have a thick welding glove on and a face visor so there was some consideration to safety

The drone is maxing out the left side motors because it thinks it's not level and needs to prop the left up more. The pure lack of information DJI gives you in the software is rubbish. All the calibrations passed and the system software states the drone is perfectly level. The gyroscope scope reports no errors also. So I decided to prop the gyroscope board (which is one 4 flexible rubbers) over to the right side.

There we go drone now starts and takes off, albeit very unstable still. So I've ordered a replacement gyroscope pcb and will let you know how that goes.

Interesting. A drone isn’t that easy to repair. What you were describing the drone does, the problem lies before the driver board somewhere. The gyro is a very valid point and that is where I would have gone too… I think you should be on a good track now, buddy! Well, I am still around, but not anymore as much. Work is nuts.
