      Yesterday I successfully repaired a Middle Atlantic UPS2200R-IP that had inadvertently been used as a surge suppressor at our transmitter site. It has already been replaced with an updated one but it's coming home with me now instead of being e-cycled. To be specific, this is the MA model that has the blue backlit display and has been discontinued, although this design may have been used in many UPS units including the smaller Middle Atlantic ones in this series.



      Here's what happened: We experienced a brownout/surge at the site, which damaged the UPS and took our broadcasting...

      Light Scratch Removal Success with Magic Eraser

      Replaced backlights on a 43UJ6300 but there was a scratch near the middle of the screen which I didn't notice with the backlights blue. I discounted the price but still having trouble selling it. I thought of using a magic eraser to buff it out but worried it could cause more damage. Found a youtube video showing success with this technique so tried it. Used it dry and sanded in the direction of the scratch and it worked! Relisting the TV for full price!...

      LG 55UJ6200 BEFORE & AFTER tape fix/fine tuning success

      I have an LG 55UJ6200 that cycles between sickly green, full color and back again with some lines and random banding at the top of the screen. After watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfrRhw7-ZII I was motivated to attempt this right away and got some pretty good success. I am using a huge piece of tape blocking a whopping 20 pins on the second cable in the tv. Only problem is after about 40 minutes or so the set gives a little random flicker - enough to be distracting. I am making this post to see if anyone has had a similar failure with this model and what pins are the ideal ones to block...
