I have, a failed Inovelli smart outlet, that does not deliver 120V anymore.
The company was prompt by replacing it, even with a more powerful one. There customer service is great.
I did not have to send back the broken one, and I'm thinking, it would be possible to repair it?
It has a triac BTA24-600, a LM337, an opto-coupler, TNY264 AC/DC converter and on a separate board, I'm guessing it is the Z-Wave controller-tx/rx, that seems like it is still working. Smarthings hub recognizes it. The switch on the outlet turns on and off the LED, but only thing I'm getting from the outlet, is 20 VAC.
I have measured the TNY264, between S - D and there is 147 V. One of the 2.2uF capacitors from the 120V is getting really hot, if I let it plugged in for a few minutes. The TNY264 datasheet can give a bit of help.
I don't even know where to start.
I have ordered new triacs, because I was almost certain that that is the failed component, but after I have replaced it, still did not work.
I'm looking up videos and such on how to measure a triac, I'm still not certain how it should show on a multimeter(Fluke 189), if it's good or bad. I'm comparing with the new ones and it shows the same, A1 and G show shorted in each direction.
Course, there is no schematic or anything like that.
Any help would be appreciated.
