Assistance needed with xbox one controller

Whats up guys? So I've stumbled on this site and i was hoping to get some help with my problem.

So i have an xbox one s controller thats only a few months old and suddenly stopped working. The issue is it turns off saying it has no battery even though fresh batteries have been put in it. I took it apart to look for any issues with the connections for the batteries but everything looked fine to me (i really dont know what I'm doing). But while looking for something i must have accidentally touched "the issue" and the controller worked fine after putting it back together... for about 6 hours, and then the same problem came back. Turns off suddenly even with fresh batteries. Took it apart again and once again i didn't do much but poke around the boards, put it back together and same thing. Works perfectly for some hours and then problem comes back. What could this be? I'm so puzzled by this.. what am i touching thats bringing it back to life for a limited time?

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated, i would really rather not buy a new one since this one's only months old. I would've loved to use the warranty but im out of the U.S. so its complicated.

    Thanks!

I second this idea that you must have a cold soldering joint some where
Look at the battery terminal and the ON / OFF switch also look at the joy sticks as well

Also you should use a magnifying glass to look at these joints if it looks dull redo the joints or if you see a lot of flux on a joint redo or cracked joints redo the joint or if some the joint is missing redo the joint

Where I work we have crane remotes that are very bad about having cracked soldering joint where the batteries are and it does the same thing may work for awhile then shuts off

Another thing that can help to find any form of a schematic is by looking up controller mods.

These are from the first model controls and use them as a comparasen.

those pics show me that battery contact assy does not have strain relieving pins.
broken solder there would be a prime suspect.
            nice find Drassh!

Short circuit on XBOX controller - Model 1914.
              by MarkC1970
We have a XBOX 1914 controller that has shorted the 3V3 to J2 (aerial connector). If you unplug the aerial, the controller boots and connects. It seems stable without the aerial plugged in but it is not ideal.

              The schematic is on https://www.acidmods.com/RDC/XB1/Sch...OME_VALUES.pdf

I have little to no understanding of these RF transmitters and so I am unsure what has failed. Currently, T2 is short on Pins 1 to 2 and RFF2 is also short on Pins 1 to 2. This is how the 3V3 is getting connected to J2, clearly one or both of these components are faulty....

              Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
              by carrzkiss
              Hello, all.

              Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
              I quickly removed everything...

Firstly I am not a tech. You guys may see mistakes or oversights in my methods so don't be bashful and feel free to post corrections/opinions.

              =>Background:
I bought my son a used Xbox One original model: A12-220N1A Rev: 02 with original PSU & 2 controllers 7 years ago. I “modded” the unit placing a 4.5” 12V exhaust fan with a 9v wall wart adapter on top of the vent/fan of the unit. And plugged the Xbox PSU into a Tripplite LTR-600 voltage regulator. Also connected to the Tripplite are a 275w computer tower, an Xbox 360 PSU and a Westinghouse 52” LED TV. ...

Xbox Series S/X controller Parts identification please
              by Techie_hobby1
Hi, could someone please help me here to identify these blue SMD 0201 components.
I also have a spare broken board (same model) and can confirm same components installed.
Strangely though they have identified Z1 as the same component even though it differs from Z2 and Z3.
It's from an Xbox Series S/X controller that I am attempting to fix for my Son..
yes I hear a lot of people saying “Just buy a new one because they are cheap” buy this is the White PCB limited edition.

Also identification for the other component EW=9L N13
              Thanks in advanced

Xbox One Controller - Phantom stick activity (sticks completely uninstalled)
              by Aimbit
              Hi All,

I bought some used Xbox one controllers "as is/untested" and they both have the same issue. The joysticks go wild for no reason while plugged in.

              https://youtube.com/shorts/YTYtjUPkBX0?feature=share

I removed both joysticks assuming it was an issue with the sticks, but the video posted here is the activity of the sticks with no sticks installed! My only guess is one of the tiny IC's that reads the inputs is broken. There are two small ones near either joystick, and then one larger one. I found a replacement on Aliexpress for the larger one...
