Need EPROM dumps for Tektronix 2212
Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....
"Dude, this is Wyoming, i hopped on and sent 'er. No fucking around." -- Me
Excuse me while i do something dangerous
You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.
Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

Re: Need EPROM dumps for Tektronix 2212
dang...condolences. How did you determine your rom images are toast? Did it fail boot checksum?
I wonder if I should pull the images of my Tek scopes before they exhibit Alzheimer's, except some of the eproms are soldered in... -

Re: Need EPROM dumps for Tektronix 2212
I guess that's the unfortunate part of these computerized scopes...
My 2465 probably would behave the same if the roms get amnesia, despite being a full analog scope with no storage. I was able to find some EPROM images for 2465s but not the same as the ones I have in the scope. I should archive the EPROMs as I have no clue if they're the same or compatible with mine.
My 2440 is completely digital, no analog display possible. This scope has so many roms as it has three processors (waveform, main, and front panel)... Unfortunately the waveform processor ROMs are actually on OTP ROMs as EPROMs available at the time weren't fast enough at 0WS. No idea how I should back these up...
I think my scopes are 1980s vintage, probably 5 to 10 years older... my eproms are probably teetering on the edge if yours gave upComment

by SMDFleaJust a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !
I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
files.
hoaca388 has made an excellent guide how to extract the VSS2 file and edit/clean it up by
filling everything after...-

by EasyGoing1I have a 40 volt AC transformer that I put a bridge rectifier on, and I wanted to see the input signal and the output signal on the same screen on my scope, so I set one channel up with the test lead on one side of the input and the ground lead on the other side of the input, then I used another channel on the scope and clipped the test lead on the positive side of the output then the ground on the negative side of the output.
When I connected the transformer to power, the wire that was connected between the ground lead on the second channel and the negative side of the bridge rectifier... -
by sam_sam_samI thinking about about buying one later on this year depending on what feedback I get from this forum members that know more than I do about what is importance about what to have in a scope

by darkloriHello, a pleasure to join the community!
I have tried to program this EPROM from a laptop, the W25R128JWSIQ.
I tried using the CH341A, but it does not have support for this chip. Is there any programmer that can detect it so I can burn the bin file?
