    EDM-041 PS5 Slim board , Long Pulsing Blue Light No Beep

    Hello,
    I think I have a found a Ground Short on a EDM-041 PS5 Slim board.
    I have attached pics as to both sides of board area I detected a Ground Short.
    It's on the south side of the Memory just above F7002.
    The Gray Coil is Grounded on both sides as well as the 2 black rectangle modules to the right of it.
    Opposite side of board the same black rectangle and the 4 other solder points next to it.
    All the Via's are also Grounded.
    My console is dead except the continuous pulsing blue light and no beep when starting up.
    Anybody have any ideas?

      Hi All,

      I recently got a bunch of faulty/partially faulty PS3s and wanted to get some advise on them. Models are:

      X4 are PS3 slims with disc drive errors.
      X1 is a PS3 slim with the 8002F1F9 update error.
      X1 is a ps3 slim with no display.
      X1 is a slim with RLOD
      X1 is a super slim with a missing disc drive and receiving the same update error 8002F1F9 (I'm assuming because it needs it's drive)?
      X1 is another super slim with no power (board number MPX-001).

      Does anyone know of any good resources that list parts interchangeability?...

      Hi!

      This PS5 Slim with EDM-041 board is driving me crazy. 1 beep, no power. All standby voltages are present, UART throws error 8089403A (High, not found) and 80892003 / 80891001 SSD Controller or DDR4 Error (Power Failure or short).
      I bought this console from someone who tried to replace the HDMI port themself, endgame is a dead console with ripped HDMI-pad (Pin19 HPD). I have no idea how it wen't from broken HDMI to dead console, but here we are. at this moment I moved the console aside for my own mental health šŸ˜… Posting this if someone has stumbled upon same kind of problem...

      Iā€™m looking for advice on a PlayStation 5 Slim, model CFI-2016, motherboard revision EDM-041.
      Symptoms
      • Console beeps once when pressing power
      • Blue LED turns on for about 1 second
      • Fan spins very briefly
      • Console shuts down immediately
      • No second beep, no error message
      • TV briefly detects an HDMI signal, then nothing . This behavior is 100% consistent on every power attempt.
      Background
      • The console is PS5 Slim, digital model
      • Motherboard has been removed from the chassis for inspection
      • No visible catastrophic damage (no burned components, no cracked silicon)

      Hello everyone!

      I have this board that got slightly water damanged and it is stuck at S5 state. It pulses once every 5 seconds.
      When connected the magsafe 2 to the bench psu, the current goes from 0.02A to 0.10A when is pulsing.

      When using the genuine magsafe 2 charger, the light turn on and it became green and then amber. The fan is not spinning.
      When I tried the SMC bypass mode, the fan spins a quarter every 5 seconds and the pulsing is still present every time the fan spin.

      The pulses are present in the CPU Vcore rails on L7320 and L7310....
