The unit had a battery replacement , it used to work with a 2200 mah battery that i have found swollen, i have replaced it with a 1500 mah battery( i couldn't find one available at 2200mAh), tested working, after 2 months of beeing used in the car always plugged to the charger the owner sayed that it's not charging, the battery had 3.3 v instead of 3.7 , i have installed a new battery of 1500mAh, the unit powers on , shows 1% battery and it only draws current when the display is on and only shows the charging icon when i first plug the cable in then it stops after 10 or 20 seconds, and if i turn it off it restarts. The battery has 3 wires , i have voltage at battery pins on the board, i have tryed with two different batteries, i can't find a schematic for it, i don't know what else to check, if someone can help with an advice!?

Is the black replacement with 2 leads or 3 ? The original battery contains a BMS board which is the actual charger circuit and supervisor to safely charge the battery. You apply a voltage and usually the 3rd lead is used as a gauge of the battery temperature (feedback). If the battery gets too hot, this thermistor reading will be sensed by the host board to cut off the charging voltage.
As far as I can see the black battery is 2 leads only and is a 'dumb battery'. This type of battery expects to be charged by an external charger circuit. This is only the raw battery packs inside of a hardshell. Check Amazon for a suitable 3 legged battery pack which will contain the BMS board as well.

1.1. Introduction
Almost every laptop has a charging circuit of some sort, that does a few things:- Manages switching between AC adapter and battery power
- Manages battery charging and generates power rail to charge battery
There are 2 different designs to handle switching between AC adapter and battery power and feeding the system:- Hybrid power boost (HPB) and traditional circuits without power boost (see Warning in HPB section)
- Narrow VDC (NVDC)

by kodoxsince i couldn't find schematic or boardview for this model (LA-K062P), i use closest board model found here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-and-boardview
the schematic share same marking for each component, using same PD-Controller, same BQ25710, the only different is the battery cell used. LA-K061P uses 3S battery while LA-K062P use 4S battery per schematic.

by sam_sam_samI have had with regular AA batteries that leak this meter is expensive new I already replaced the battery battery clips once and the same thing happened again and I am tried of so it is getting modified to accommodate lithium ion batteries that are the same size excluding the positive terminal and removing the battery clips I will have enough room for the BMS protection board
I going to put 3 lithium ion battery in parallel with the BMS protection board and a way to charge the battery externally and heat shrink the battery pack and use a JST connector so I easily remove the battery... -

Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!
I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.
The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.
When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.
TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows... -
Hello everyone
I have been working on this laptop mentioned in the title, it initially had a shorted capacitor. After I replaced it, the thing started working again, but there is still another problem. The laptop was running off a charger, the battery was reporting 96% charge... but when I unplugged the charger, the laptop died. I've measured the battery voltage - 0V. I think it is locked. (Screenshot from batterymon, below).
I've ordered a new 3rd-party battery, but I think there's something wrong with it too - the laptop boots, but the battery isn't charging. Also,... - Loading...
