what is the point of R1 resistor on ps4 slim ADP-160CR power supply?

I am looking at the schematic and i dont understand why is it important to have a 0,1 Ohm resistor. Does it have to do something with the 2 mosfet (Q3 and Q4) in series? What if i just replace it with a wire? thanks

Can you post a link to the schematic? Why do you think shorting out a resistor and it will work fine?
The resistor has a purpose, it failed because the mosfets are shorted.

The current resistor also plays the role of a fuse, if the Mosfets burn out, then they take with them the SMD resistors, diodes, zener diode and PWM, definitely change the PWM (if you don't replace it, the Mosfets will burn out instantly the first time you turn it on) and check everything else...
