    QUICKO soldering station

    HI,

Have a QUICKO soldering station with no numbers for the model ... (think it's a KSGER or similar copy)

All worked nice, till some day it heats the iron till it was RED (HOT) ...

Turned it off, and tryed today again, and all the same, even with a second iron ...

The display shows that the iron is not connected, like not inserted in the handle ...

The second thing is that it has 6 pins connector and can't find a handle that is similar for my station ...

Has someone some advice what to do, where to look, even how to change the connector to fit a 5 pin or 4 pin handle ???

    THX

Yes, I think that I updated the firmware with this, it was a time ago, a long time ago ....

      Will recheck the mosfet, thx

      EDIT :

Now seen the pics on git, yes that is the station ...

      EDIT 2 :

If I see, I can remove the middle pin from the 6 pin connector to remake it in 5 pin ???

        why?
if your going to change stuff then use the connector with the most pins - for future expansion.
i have seen people add a "boost" button to some of these stations.

            mine has a 4pin,
but anyway, they may all use 5pin connectors but it doesnt mean the pinout will always be the same

I understand, but even if I can't find a 6 pin handle, then also I can't change the pinout :-)

But 99% of the handles have the same pinout.

                  What handle do you have?
You can see the GX12-5 connector pins:
                  T+ heater(+)
                  T- heater(-)
                  S+ shake switch
                  N+ cold-junction compensation thermistor
                  C common (handle ground)

There are two 0R jumpers for either JBC or T12 handle/element.

I don't see this KSGER STC-V2.3 for sale. Where did you buy it from?

                    Aliexpress ...

                    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...Cquery_from%3A

Looked at the picture and hoped that this will fit into my old case, but the measures are different ....

And then no manual, no soldering info ...

BOard, g12-5, diode, and some other parts ... but no connectiuon guide ...

                    THX for info

                    I have an 907 to t12 handle, and t-12 handle ...

                    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...377218022wnlfb

t-12 handle works ... hmmm ,werry strange ... last time it would not work ....

now the 907 to t-12 the handle heats up, but the switch don't work, and the "ambient" temp is not shown on display ....

Recommendations of quality soldering station and (separate) hot air station
                        by caprider
                        Hey,

I'm looking for some recommendations of a decent quality soldering station and a separate hot air station. I'm just a hobbyist, so even if (ultra)premium tools are not required, I still want some good tools. They should be available in Europe.

I now have a TS100 and some soldering irons and looking for some better tools.

                        1. Soldering station, budget around 200-240€
JBC BT-2BWA seems to be a good product in the budget.

                        2. Hot air station, budget around 200€
Up to now I've found ATTEN ST-862D to be a good option....

Tool Recommendation: soldering iron and hot air station
                        by Skunch
Please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong sub forum, but I am looking for any recommendations for a soldering iron and hot air gun station for my workshop. I've been using a garbage plug in wand i found years ago to do quick patch jobs, but I'm finally done with it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

                        Hi

I have found a burnt resistor on pcb can anyone help me identify this resistor if you have a circuit diagram or similar unit
The printed circuit board markings are rd80 ver 2.0 and the resistor in question is R6

                        Many thanks...

862D+ solder station iron out of control when fan on
                        by liquidzorch
                        Hello.
I have a soldering station, 862D+, and every time the hot air gun is on, even if it is just cooling off, the soldering iron controller stops controlling. Let me explain what has happened so far, as it took a while to get to this.
First, the switch that turns on the hot air gun started to fail, the light came on, but temp never rose, I would have to switch it multiple time to get the gun to start heating, this was due to the contact inside being carbonized. I opened the switch up, clean the contacts, and it would work fin for a while until carbonized again. So, I ordered a switch...

Schematics for JCD 908S adjustable soldering iron
                        by digitalDNA
                        Hello,

Does anybody have schematics for JCD 908S 220V 80W adjustable soldering iron ?

Mine lately stopped working, nothing is being displayed on the screen.

I was using it normally the day before, the next day, it just didn't work.

No component seems to be blown.

The heater resistance is around 140 ohms, measured off-circuit, is this value normal ?

On the board, there's an MCU, the MS51FB9AE by nuvoTon (the company is new to me), but pin 7 (Vss) is only connected to a capacitor, I couldn't find where it...
