    QUICKO soldering station

    HI,

Have a QUICKO soldering station with no numbers for the model ... (think it's a KSGER or similar copy)

All worked nice, till some day it heats the iron till it was RED (HOT) ...

Turned it off, and tryed today again, and all the same, even with a second iron ...

The display shows that the iron is not connected, like not inserted in the handle ...

The second thing is that it has 6 pins connector and can't find a handle that is similar for my station ...

Has someone some advice what to do, where to look, even how to change the connector to fit a 5 pin or 4 pin handle ???

    THX

Yes, I think that I updated the firmware with this, it was a time ago, a long time ago ....

      Will recheck the mosfet, thx

      EDIT :

Now seen the pics on git, yes that is the station ...

      EDIT 2 :

If I see, I can remove the middle pin from the 6 pin connector to remake it in 5 pin ???

        why?
if your going to change stuff then use the connector with the most pins - for future expansion.
i have seen people add a "boost" button to some of these stations.

            mine has a 4pin,
but anyway, they may all use 5pin connectors but it doesnt mean the pinout will always be the same

I understand, but even if I can't find a 6 pin handle, then also I can't change the pinout :-)

But 99% of the handles have the same pinout.

                  What handle do you have?
You can see the GX12-5 connector pins:
                  T+ heater(+)
                  T- heater(-)
                  S+ shake switch
                  N+ cold-junction compensation thermistor
                  C common (handle ground)

There are two 0R jumpers for either JBC or T12 handle/element.

I don't see this KSGER STC-V2.3 for sale. Where did you buy it from?

                    Aliexpress ...

                    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...Cquery_from%3A

Looked at the picture and hoped that this will fit into my old case, but the measures are different ....

And then no manual, no soldering info ...

BOard, g12-5, diode, and some other parts ... but no connectiuon guide ...

                    THX for info

                    I have an 907 to t12 handle, and t-12 handle ...

                    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...377218022wnlfb

t-12 handle works ... hmmm ,werry strange ... last time it would not work ....

now the 907 to t-12 the handle heats up, but the switch don't work, and the "ambient" temp is not shown on display ....
