well a programmer is cheap, £10-40.
dont you have a tl866 or similar?

but the chips are probably protected from being read out.

yes i did wonder about the read protect . programming isnt in my job description . i did read the data sheet and it spun me out .
it is rather annoying when i am asked to see if i can fix these things and its a software issue that is holding me back . got me thinking that i need a programmer to write a program that does what it should it do . not much involved really . its just an hours counter and rpm monitor and other stuff like service due and maybe deck height . shit like this is second nature for some folk but not me . it could be but no way am i going there . i could thinking about it redisgn it a little bit and do away with the digital display like they used to be . cutting grass is getting far too complex for my liking .

SPD reading/writing under Linux and/or Windows
        by keepread
        Hi all,
Where can I find the mysterious 'eeprom' kernel module that some use under Linux to read/write SPD?
I installed 'i2c-tools' and got 'decode-dimms' tool under Debian but not under Fedora, but both of them are missing the 'eeprom' module.
Also tried the SPD.exe tool from EVGA, which correctly lists all of the DIMM slots but reads zeroes from all of them.
Basically I need to dump SPD from some modules that were sold to me as DDR-1866 but are made of DDR-1600 chips, and they do not work. There is no access to RAM clock rate in the BIOS, so I am SOL unless I can rebin...

        PS5 HDMI port diode reading?
        by SuperAman
I did an hdmi port repair for a PS5 and I lost the small diode z71 SOD923 on the back of the port. I did a trace repair for pin 19 of the port as well. Without the diode I get no display at all. I tried replacing the diode twice but after I get flux on it the marking comes off so I can't tell if I have it on the right orientation. When I measure I get a reading of 1(open) and 923 in diode mode. Is 923 a normal reading for these and also which side should the reading be with regards to the arrow on the board?...
