You didn`t say your board is R2.0 .Download the Instant flash bios version from the support site (R2.0 board) https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fm2a58m-vg3+%20r2.0/#BIOS and extract the zip folder

The bios is 8,196KB ,it should be 8,192KB ,it needs a 4KB part of it deleting. Open the bios with UEFITool ,right click on "AMI Aptio capsule" and select "Extract body" ,that will remove the 4KB leaving the proper size bios. It will be saved as a rom file, you can rename it to *.bin if you prefer.

          Hi SMDFlea

I need to flash a FM2A58M-VG3+ Rev 2.01, & i'm very confused 'cause Asrock does not mention in their webpages nothing about different revisions of their motherboards. Should i use your provided .rom?, or may i cut the FM2A58M-VG3+ R2.0 .rom and flash this mobo with the modified one?

Thx a lot for your valuable time.

Try the R2.0 bios, but make a backup first.

                🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                by macabook
                Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                🧩 Initial Issue
                • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                • External display (HDMI) shows
                ...

Request: Full BIOS dump for ASRock Z790-CX (DDR5)
                by gabrieljma1
                Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a full raw 16 MB BIOS dump for an ASRock Z790-CX (DDR5) motherboard.

The board powers on (fans spin, RGB lights on, RAM LEDs active), but there is no display output and the VGA and BOOT LEDs stay lit.
I’m using an Intel i9-14900KF CPU (14th gen), and it seems the BIOS version on my board doesn’t support it yet. I tried to flash the official ASRock BIOS file (renamed .ROM → .BIN) directly using my RT809H programmer, but it didn’t work — monitor stays on but with black screen, so I believe the ASRock update file is not a complete...

ASRock B650M PRO RS - BIOS CHIP 25Q256JW BLOCKED BY STATUS REGISTERS
                by DynaxSC
                Hi

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.

I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6...

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
                by pirati
                Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
