the posted bios is not ok ... read the bios chip and post again..remove the bios chip from the motherboard, before writing or reading ...

I hope someone can help me. I am a complete noob when it comes to BIOS flashing. I corrupted the BIOS in my Dell 9010 desktop trying to update it via an .exe file. Fans run and error LED blinks a BIOS code, but no screen or any other function. I have procured the ch143a programmer and the 9010 desktop BIOS files. I have found the location of the BIOS and EC ICs. Both are next to each other and they are both 8 pin SOP-8 packages. One of the ICs has a dual mount option 8 pin or 16 pin. I have attached a picture where both ICs can be seen. Sorry about the washed out contrast, I can send a new picture if needed. I need to know which IC is the main BIOS and which IC is the EC before I start try to flash and mess up something else. I have looked all over the internet and found everything but which IC is which. Thank you!

I did mean to post the IC numbers. Top chip in the picture which you highlighted in yellow is Winbond 25Q32JVSIQ. The bottom IC is a Winbond 25Q64JVSIQ, which I suspect is the main BIOS IC, with the upper IC being the EC IC. Thanks!

Both chips are bios chips, your bios file is 12MB split on one 8MB chip and one 4MB chip.

Yes, they are both BIOS ICs. There are two .bin BIOS files for the Dell 9010 desktop, one is labeled MAIN and the other file EC. So which IC is the MAIN BIOS IC and which one is the EC IC?

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?
                                        by mrrubik
                                        Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

                                        Steps I took:
                                        1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
                                        2. Patched
                                        ...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                                        by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

                                        Dell latitude 5580, motherboard cdp 80 la-e151p

3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"
                                        (from here https://www.dell.com/support/manuals...e7a&lang=en-us)

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

Since ssd is replaced and had clean install windows, i've...
