    Dell Precision T5820 BIOS Recovery

    Greetings comrades:

I am nearing the home stretch of my BIOS recovery project; however, I reach a point where I must ask a community of hopefully astute members who would help to send this project across the finish line. I successfully completed the BIOS extraction with a Python utility which produced a pair of outputs that I have attached as a Zip file. Frankly I do not know what to make of such results and wondering I can proceed to program the chip with the System BIOS with BIOS Guard [V0 AMI] v2.42.0.bin or I have more work to do for preparing the files for re-flashing. I will appreciate experienced input.

    Sincerely,
    Fusion

Hi and Welcome to the Forum! This is the folder you need to work with: "2 CombineBiosName1 v99.1.45"
The other one (3 CombineBiosName2 v99.1.45) is intended for the X-series, which is not the machine you have

I appreciate your input, Sparo. I will proceed to reflash the BIOS chip then re-assemble the workstation and update you all following my results.

          Sincerely,
          Fusion

I finished re-assembly then proceeded to power-on the PC to see whether would work or not. The workstation failed to POST: black display and a light code corresponding to a bad bother board -- 1 amber flash followed by 3 white flashes. I have completed the trouble shooting steps and check my work for any errors. I have not found any errors in my resoldering and swapped the memory modules then removed and reinstall the CMOS battery. No POST. I do not know whether this is a salvageable motherboard or I must order another motherboard and hope it will work. I will appreciate feedback. On a positive note: I have successfully addressed the BIOS Recovery 1 error.

1 3 Bad system board, Memory or Processor

You could start a thread in the parent troubleshooting section to get some hardware help
Idk if it's still fixable but whoever is helping there will need more details (symptoms, context, missing/present voltages, etc.)
Also it'll be good to mention any troubleshooting steps you've already tried > Troubleshooting Desktop Motherboards, Graphics Cards, and PC Peripherals - Badcaps
