Would anyone be able to help me with this one please. Dell optiplex 5090 micro, Old service tag was 3FZ9VH3 and I'm trying to change the service tag to 3EZ9VH3 (long story). I changed it in the 2 places I could find, which worked on the older Dells but this one still shows the original service tag.

      Thanks everyone!

May I ask how you knew to change the hex value there to put it in manufacturers mode? I've compared to other dell bioses and can't work out any pattern

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?
          by mrrubik
          Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

          Steps I took:
          1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
          2. Patched
          ...

Dell OptiPlex Micro Plus 7020 BIOS password removal
          by orizon
          Hi everyone,

I need help clearing the BIOS master password on a Dell OptiPlex Micro Plus 7020.
I have already extracted the 16MB dump using a CH341A Pro programmer and a SOIC8 clip. The NVRAM area seems to be encrypted.

          - Model: Dell OptiPlex Micro Plus 7020
          - Chip size: 16MB (128Mb)
          - BIOS Chip: Winbond 25Q128JV

I've attached my original locked dump. Could someone please patch it or clear the password for me?

Thank you so much in advance!...

Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro – Clean SPI BIOS dump needed (password locked)
          by Swatou
          Hi everyone,

I bought a used Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro with a BIOS administrator password that I cannot remove. Dell support refuses to help without the original proof of purchase, and the seller is unreachable.

I would like to try flashing the BIOS chip with a CH341A programmer, but I need a clean SPI BIOS dump for this exact model.

          Here are my machine details:

          Service Tag: 50P1BB3

          Express Service Code: 10925963391

          Form factor: Micro

I can share my current BIOS dump (read with CH341A) for comparison if needed....

          Hi everyone,
I'm facing a bit of a situation here and would appreciate some help from the experts.
I received a unit that was BIOS password protected. Unfortunately, during the initial dump, there was a verification error that I didn't catch in time, resulting in a corrupted original file. I tried flashing another BIOS chip with a different dump, but the device is now a "no power/no display"...

          Hello,

          1.
          Dell Optiplex Micro 7020

          Reg Model: D15U

          Service Tag: 129LF54
          2.
          Dell Latitude 7430

          Reg Model:

          Service Tag: 8L0LG94

I have 2 computers with admin password on BIOS. Standard code generators don't work on this new platform.

I have dumped both SPI chips from the motherboard (16MB and 32MB). Could someone please help me remove the password or clean the ME Region?

Attached are the original dumps. Thanks a lot for your help!
