Hello, everyone!
I've got an HP ProDesk 600 G5 Desktop Mini with an i5-9600T with vPro / AMT. I updated its BIOS one day via the UEFI interface (not in Windows) and I presume the update failed. The PC would sit with its power LED on solid white, no output. Unpacking the BIOS provided by HP to a USB and booting with Windows-V or Windows-B pressed didn't help with anything.
Therefore, I got a CH341A flasher. The PC has a 16MB BIOS (GD25B127DSIG) and a 32MB EC chip (GD25B256DFIG).
I saved my initial bricked 16MB BIOS (attached ) and tried flashing one I found on the internet *************** - attached ). That did revive the PC - it had display output showing that it was finishing the update. After that, it turned off and would flash repeatedly 5 red 2 white - meaning "The embedded controller cannot find valid firmware" as per HP.
Flashing the initial bricked BIOS back did seem to get the PC back to the solid white power LED. I've left the BIOS I found online though. I've dumped the 32 MB EC firmware (attached ) now AFTER the attempted BIOS flashing (I did not have a SOP16 adapter back then).
S/N: 8CC94831T2
Product No: 8NC09EC#ABD
Motherboard model: F81B DAF81BMB6D0 Rev. D
My BIOS did have a password but I know it.
Any help is appreciated!
Andrei
