HP Z240 need BIOS and EC firmware
Hello everyone. I have a Z240 workstation, and after a power outage it had a bad PSU(already fixed it), and a corrupted BIOS. Initially I had 2.2 blink code, which indicated corrupt DXE region.
Did a full dump of the original firmware, replaced BIOS region with version N51 from HP website, and now the error code is 5.3(EC firmware unable to communicate with BIOS).
Flashing the original one as a sanity check also didn't revert the error code(still 5.3). The original firmware version is N01(supposedly it wasn't updated since the original owner bought it).
I'm wondering if anyone here has both BIOS and EC firmware of the same version, cause I can't find a separate EC firmware for N51, or alternatively - older N01 BIOS. Checked almost all dumps in other threads here on Badcaps, and all of them are N51Tags: None

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR

by mkdjDear all,
I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:
I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.
I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...-
