    Hello Guys,

I'm still having some troubles to remove a password on a bios chip. I have bought a new T48 (TL866II plus) because my batronix programmer didn't get it well...

    Computer information:
    Unowhy computer (NOT laptop)
    UYM6524702229
    SN: UYM6524702229
    Art: T309475
    I also get a UYM184E70E15

Click image for larger versionName:	IMG_20231114_205130.jpgViews:	15Size:	1,000.9 KBID:	3180450

I have unsolder the W25Q256JV chip and get it on the T48, it was well reconnised.

Click image for larger version Name:	CM231113-193434002.jpg Views:	15 Size:	213.2 KB ID:	3180451

As it is a unowhy computer, password seems "hide" in 2 places between “…AMITSESetup” and “.NVRAM…”
Click image for larger version Name:	HxD_hcSyPrM4x4.gif Views:	67 Size:	132.8 KB ID:	3180447

But I can't get it to work... here are my tests....

1-- If i select W25Q256JV@WSON8 on T48 program, It's reading, i get a dump, with 2 places where the password "should" be stored. Here is the original dump attached W25Q256JV@WSON8.origin.BIN. I have made the modifications, save the new dump (also attached) W25Q256JV@WSON8.mod.BIN.
I burn the chip but i had burning problem, it seems it does burn properly and i get this error when checking flash
    ERROR! FLASH Address:0x000000 Buf_Val:0x11 IC_Val:0x01
I tried to solder it... but computer doesn't start at all.... nothing...

2-- As i have 3 computers, i tryed another chip from a booting computer, and choose W25Q256JV(OTP)@WSON8. The OTP version seems to work, No error on reading or flashing (but it's longer time).
i get the W25Q256JV(OTP)@WSON8.original.BIN file (attached) and when i try to remove the password parts, I only find ONE place to modify (instead of 2?).
I then burn it, solder it and computer boot up normally... but password is still there...

    Any ideas?

Also, when i program the chip, i have an option "OTP Secu R" not activate... does it could help?

    Many thanks for your help!

Need unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV (Admin Password removal)
        by dell_bios
        Hi everyone,
I'm working on removing an administrative BIOS lock (Supervisor/Admin Password) on a laptop.
The board has three SPI flash chips:
        - W25Q64FV (main BIOS)
        - W25Q32FV (EC/TPM)
        - W25X10CL (configuration)

I was able to read the dump from the W25Q64FV chip, CRC32 = 0x3DE23E27.
The dump contains protection that needs to be removed.

If anyone has a clean or unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV, I’d really appreciate it!
I’m also happy to share my dump for comparison if needed.

        Laptop model: [please specify, e.g....

Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro – Clean SPI BIOS dump needed (password locked)
        by Swatou
        Hi everyone,

I bought a used Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro with a BIOS administrator password that I cannot remove. Dell support refuses to help without the original proof of purchase, and the seller is unreachable.

I would like to try flashing the BIOS chip with a CH341A programmer, but I need a clean SPI BIOS dump for this exact model.

        Here are my machine details:

        Service Tag: 50P1BB3

        Express Service Code: 10925963391

        Form factor: Micro

I can share my current BIOS dump (read with CH341A) for comparison if needed....

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
        by Ahari
        Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

        I...

        Hello Hello,

I have been browsing the site and gotten so much useful info from here, including extremely helpful boardviews and several other very useful types of information. I am very grateful to this community, as I have actually eeked out a living from buying salvage PC's & Macbooks and repairing them. So, thank you all in advance!

I have searched and found some useful information regarding my issue, but my case is a bit different than the info I'm finding. But if anyone here can give me any useful advice, it would be highly appreciated.

        TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" Bios Password Problem?
        by traxformania
        Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

        I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...
