You're going to need a WSON8 adapter and to desolder a chip or two. Alternatively, you can try the WSON8 'probe' aka POGO (Google it) -- to read the two WSON chips on the board. There's two chips:
                  1) MX25L25673GZ4i-08G
                  2) GigaDevice GD25B256EYIGY

Both of these are the 8x6 style, so if you're getting an adapter, you should know that. You'll find one of the right next to the wi-fi card and another between the 2nd m.2 slot and the cpu fan.

The chip that looks like a traditional CMOS chip that has legs is actually a mosfet supply and not what you're looking for.

As to how to actually unlock the administrator password once you have a dump, I'm not sure, as I haven't yet seen anyone reply anywhere that they were successful on a G9 EliteDesk/ProDesk model of any sort. So, hoping someone surprises me soon as I'm in the same situation.

I've just picked up a locked 800 G9 mini from eBay planning to give this a shot, but I'm not sure the T48 even supports these two chips, yet. I selected the closest sounding one in Xgpro, the GD25B256E @WSON8 but couldn't get it to read. Could also be that the WSON8 probe / pogo adapter is much more difficult to use than the SOIC clips, I'll admit I'm a complete amateur at this.

Am I going to need to wait for a software update? I don't know much about chips but it seems the closest things in the compatibility list for the T48/T56 are:

                    1) MX25L25673GZ4i-08G
                    ----------------------------------------
                    MX25L25673G @SOIC8
                    MX25L25673G @ISP
                    MX25L25673G @SOIC16

                    2) GigaDevice GD25B256EYIGY
                    -----------------------------------------
                    GD25B256E @WSON8

Actually I hit retry enough times and got it to read the GigaDevice in between warnings about pin mismatches and overcurrent protection. Unfortunately all four reads resulted in different files. I might finally have to learn to solder.

Download the latest software for the T48 from the parent website. The GD25B256E is now supported or at least it shows up in the list. We are in the market for a new programmer and the T48 looks like a good balance for features vs price.

download software or data sheet about TL866 and ET7190 (xgecu.com)

Is anyone able to modify the bios to change processor settings. Id like to be able to disable E cores for example.

                          Hi,

as noobie to this please excuse my lack of experience.

I am trying to remove a BIOS password from this machine:
                          HP ProDesk 400 G6 Mini

but so far I still have no success.
I bought CH341 programmer and decided to give it a try.

The programmer came with 8 pin cables and connectors or whatever everything else is called so I had to buy a new 16 pin cable because the chip which I think is the BIOS is with 16 pins..

I connected everything and downloaded AsProgrammer and NeoProgrammer then installed drivers...

                          🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                          by macabook
                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                          🧩 Initial Issue
                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                          • External display (HDMI) shows
                          ...

HP Elite Dragonfly Bios Crashed - HELP NEEDED
                          by techlab
                          Hi Guys,

Looking for some help with an HP Elite Dragonfly.

The customer explained it was updating the BIOS, the flashing completed, but afterwards the laptop wouldn’t power back on.
                          • The laptop has no power but does take the correct voltage.
                          • It shows 5 flashes white/amber, which indicates a BIOS issue.
                          • I backed up the original BIOS to extract the feature byte etc.
                          • I then flashed the BIOS with a clean version from HP’s website, but the laptop still gives 5 white/amber flashes.

Just wanted to pick your brains on this — has anyone come across this before or...
