Coil Whine , buzzing, identifying parts R9 Fury

I have an R9 Furty Nano ( R9 2XX IIRC ) that I want to put to use , I got it on ebay for quite cheap but, it has some of the worse coil whine I have heard .

I tried putting a long tube on my ear and hovered it around the card while in use , I cannot pinpoint it . However I my educated guess is , that it the whine is an inductor coil and it is one or all of these in the picture . Does anyone know what part this is and what part I can replace them with .

Perhaps likely is that I am missing something else it could be , here is a stock picture of the PCB

The markings (0.19 uH) suggest they are 190 Nano Henrys if I am not mistaken ?

Any idea where to get these? I only see these in the 100-200 Micro Henry range

uF is capacitance as micro Farad.

Micro isn't Nano , it's simply Micro . Those inductances are 0.1 micro Henry as labeled . Anyway , my opinion is those inductances aren't the problem and there is no need to replace them . You stated that you bought it for cheap , and that means the unit was put aside for a quite longtime and its soldering became rusty . Coils are delivering power and the chipset ain't taking it normally , leading to whining . I think you need to reflow ...

Graphics card coil whine can also be caused by the PC's power supply and cabling. Check that the card gets good power, connectors are not bent etc.

I ended up adding 20,000uF to the 12V rail on my PC to shut it all up.

Good call but unfortunately it is definitely the GPU , the R9 290/390/Fury were pretty notorious for Coil whine

I had tried the GPU with multiple PC's , the problem follows the card

A shameless bump before I flip this thing on ebay . The whine is triggering my tinnitus

ADP-160FR ps4 slim PSU, shuts down under load and has severe coil whine.
                  by Gjackson
Hi all, the PSU originally had a no 12v issue where as soon as I bridged the 5v standby to the ACDC_stby the psu would switch itself off completely. I monitored the voltage on the main filter caps while doing this and saw that the PFC was bringing the voltage up to around 360vdc before shutting down. Given that I saw that as a little low I replaced the PFC feedback resistors from a donor PSU and that got it to power on, without a load no coil whine is present and there is a stable 12v however as soon as I put it in the PS4 it starts whining really badly, however 12v remains stable but after a...

LG Flatron starts w. coil whine and power issues
                  by Bitvive
                  Hi ,

My old LG Flatron recently started with coil beeping. This got worse every day for a few days until it also started having power problems.

Now it also went off again after displaying the LG logo, then on, off again, then on and so on...

So far I have measured the power supply unit, which delivers 19.21V and should therefore be OK. I removed the circuit board and connected it to the mains plug so that I could hear the coil beeping.

During the beeping, I pressed on the coils with a non-conductive tool to see if the sound changed and to find...

                  SMD coil whine "chirps"
                  by Uranium-235
Does anyone have high frequency sensitivity hearing and a motherboards have tons of sounds coming from it? Is this just coil whine en masse? When data to the SSD has high I/O I can hear the clicks and chirps. Same with when the graphics drive inits. Network adapters, chirping after I connect the cable

I can hear everything. Every time I put my ear to let's say an open Shuttle XH series pc (currently working on) in the next room it sounds like I'm in the middle of a the fucking public bird aviary

Of course this isn't just the shuttle, though I think the small case...

Boston Acoustics Soundware 5.1 SUB: Agonizing coil whine!
                  by Jumme
So. Had my Boston Acoustics subwoofer for 4 years and it had a terrible coil whine squeal from day one.

I RMA'd it twice, but both times it came back (after a 6-8 weeks return time) and had the exact same problem.
Said they "swapped the amplifier module". As it didnt help, personally I feel more convinced its the PSU module. Company now bankrupt and I cant stand the noise:

Its a high pitch coil whine tone -it's terrible agonizing, when worst, I hear it clearly 4-5 m from the Sub (because sits in corner).

                  It wines without RCA input....

LAPTOP HP 15-DY2059LA / i3-12gen has stability problems in vccpu coils, BUZZING SOUND. ¿Coil whine?
                  by valente222
Hello friends, I just received this equipment, it has a strange hum on the board. The computer works fine, outputs an image and starts Windows. But the problem is when charging the battery, a constant loop to charge. In short, it never charges the battery. When the charger is connected, the stability of the CPU is stressed and it seems that the coils make that electrical sound louder. This board is modern and I don't have a schematic. I have checked with a microscope and the pcb is completely new. Has anyone had this happen to them before? defect in driver ic?...
