    Toshiba external HDD help

    Hi all

    First time attempting this . Customer want his HDD repaired , even temporarily , so that he can retrieve data .

    Seems to click a bit when connected to my PC , but that's it , not even being detected .

    Hoping someone has been there before & can advise .

      Spotted this video on You Tube .

      Could potentially buy same drive , then swap head .

          Wow , same drive really expensive .

          Alternatively spotted a company advertising repair service for these drives on Ebay .

              Send to a data recovery specialist. There is no chance you'll be able to recover the data from a clicking drive and anything you'll do to it will make it much more difficult or even impossible to recover anything.
