    Sapphire R9 270x missing component

Trying to repair a Sapphire R9 270x that has a million issues, and recently i added another one. I broke one of the legs of what looks like a transistor at Q252 on the board near to the fan plug, with the marking C3k0P. I have searched everywhere about it and can't find any info as to what it might be. I initially suspected it was a diode but seeing that the board marks diodes with a D i dismissed that idea. It is marked with a Q which means it is either a transistor and for some reason it has a different name than the rest of transistors on the board, a mosfet or some kind of voltage regulator. Would appreciate any help with it, maybe in other cards it has a different name and the previous owner replaced it. No idea and too scared to just solder a transistor without knowing what it might be.

Re: Sapphire R9 270x missing component

For anyone else that might have a similar issue, the part missing is a P channel mosfet, responsible for supplying the fans with 12v. The marking is strange though but it could be from NXP since they tend to use small letters.

      Missing 12V Transistor - GTX 1050 2G
      by fab13
      Hello to all =D

After inspection as you can see this component is missing the only concern is that there are different on the card.
For example for the 3V there is the transistor with reference s72H7 .

      Which transistor do you recommend?

There is 0 short circuit nor other missing components.
Only this one to restart the card =D

      Thanks a lot...

      R9 390 8Gb - Broken Transistor and missing components?
      by dicky96
      Hi guys
I have a R9 390 here. The owner sent it to me with a smd 1AM transistor (one leg broken off) taped to the heatsink

He says he bought this used as 'working' on ebay, put it on one side for about a year (never tested it) and when he came to use it, it does not work

He then spotted the broken transistor in the bottom of the box

At this time it was much too late to return it

He sent me some pics where he says the transistor comes from (not sure how he knows for sure).

Under the microscope it does look like some transistor...

Sapphire 390x - Identify Missing Components
      by aaronmacdonald
Hey guys, I have a Sapphire R9 390x missing the capacitors and resistors around U4016 (IR3553M).

I've tried looking for boardviews/schematics without much luck, unfortunately.

      Affected area is in the image attached;
      missing components are:

      C4105
      C4106
      C4108
      C4109
      C4117
      C4149
      R642

      Much thanks in advance! ...

      Sapphire 4850 missing SMD capacitors
      by alindumitru46
I received from someone several video cards from past generations and some of them have problems.
I quite neglected to pay attention to them due to priorities, but now I'm back here, looking for help.
I believe that the card would work correctly, because without the additional power supply connector, its absence is detected by the red led, but after the additional connection of 1x6pin PCIe, it does not give a signal on monitor.
Surely these components are the cause, at least until these defects are fixed.
Therefore, I also request support for identifying the missing...

      820-02020 PPBUS_AON missing
      by ugamazing
Board had no history of liquid; unsure of drop history, but no signs of damage of any kind worth noting.

Charger sitting at 5v/0a. PPBUS is at 1.9v-0.9v steady cycle (peaks, drains, loops). Confirmed CHGR_EN_MVR is missing, but DCIN was reaching ISL just fine, so replaced ISL--no change at all. Confirmed pp3v8_aon is also missing--and being unsure *exactly* which signal appears first (or if they are simultaneous), I inspected PMU/U8100 area and found no shorts, but also found PP3V8_AON_MPMU_ISNS_VIN missing (not shorted). Replaced U8100 just in case (have had them fail in weird ways),...
