MSI B550m DS3H Resets Bios parameters when I power off from PSU, coin Battery is OK

Hi to all, I have a B550M DS3H from MSI, it works ok, but when I turn off PSU, It loses the bios saved parameters, changed the 3V battery and measured Vbat line and its ok, 3.2V, so its not the battery. I have the diagram and boardview, updated the bios to latest version, and still no go. I uploaded the 3 files in case someone needs them.

I have traced the line Vbatt to the EC and the RTC and it keeps ok when I remove PSU power, it meassures 3.some volts.

    Any ideas? thanks a lot

BIOS settings are more likely stored in the chipset, rather in the SIO/EC. So either the battery power does not reach the chipset, or might be CMOS Reset pins are shorted permanently (maybe a wrongly set jumper?). Also chipset might be partly broken. Look for missing/demaged smd's in area between battery and chipset. Some parameters might also be written into the BIOS chip, if BIOS programming does not work correctly, the effect you describe could occur. Maybe a faulty BIOS chip. But this is not likely, as you wrote you upgraded the BIOS.

& You should decide if this is an MSI or Gigabyte board. More likely Gigabyte, as MSI does not have DS3H in their names.

      Gigabyte b550m ds3h S3 and S5 always high
      by liquidzorch
Hello. I am trying to repair a motherboard. The issue is that S5# and S3# are both always high when the processor is in the board, this drives the ddr voltage high when the board is off. I have tried with known good processors. The s3 and s5 voltages are coming from the cpu not the EC, as I can remove the in line resistors, and only the cpu side stays high. I have checked all the lines I can think of that would make the processor think it's on, but everything is how it should be. If I press the power button, everything does turn on, but it takes about 5 minutes to POST. If I ground the rmrst#...

Broke off RTC Coin battery pin on HP EliteBook 840 G1 - Operating Systems do not load or install
      by nerdmafia
Hi first question posting here, but no need to go easy on me!
I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 non touchscreen. The symptoms are that: Repairing or reinstalling windows freezes no matter how i try it. Live Ubuntu that works on any other computer also freezes while trying to load it. The RAM sticks and the harddrive work fine in other computers. I broke off the connector by accident, CN4750 and was using the laptop for a while with no coin battery. According to this schematic I found on here, which I THINK is the correct schematic, pins 2, 3, and 4 should short to ground, and they do....

ASUS PRIME B550M-A AC weird behavior
      by RotVik
Hello, I need a little help

I got an ASUS PRIME B550M-A AC Motherboard, bad BIOS, it wont display or boot, unless I did CMOS Restart first, after that It will boot but if I modified the configuration of the bios and saved it ,again no image

I got the BIOS .CAP file from ASUS official support, used a tool called ASUS CAP to BIN, and programmed it to the IC, soldered to the board and got it to boot correctly, all the way to Windows, but now the CPU fan stays at full speed all the time and if I try to power it off with power button it will restart instead, and there are...
