there are MANY other capacitors on that line. u dont need them or throw in any of suitable package. -
Thanks for the quick response noname2024. I am assuming that 6.3*8 is referring to the dimensions in mm. However the component I am looking for is actually closer to 1mm in length and less in width. Is the capacitor you mentioned an equivalent replacement but in a different package?Leave a comment:

RTX 3080 FE Identifying capacitor
Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.
I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.
I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)
I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never really had to read schematics before, so I am a bit overwhelmed by it and haven't been able to figure out the capacitor values based on the schematic, but according to this video (https://youtu.be/THMukcOzB8g?si=vO7_O-d4__kqye8j&t=1311) the large capacitors next to it are output filtering capacitors. I hope someone is able to help me out here.

P.S. The reason I found the burnt capacitor in the first place is that the gpu is having issues where it boots up ok, but under a little bit of load the fans spin up a lot and it heats up quite a bit, before eventually crashing. There is also a black burn mark on the gpu heatsink above above these capacitors. I am hoping replacing these capacitors fixes the issue, but let me know if that is unlikely to be the root cause.

I am a beginner in electronic board repair and I am looking for help with an HP motherboard: CM 6050A2892401 MB A01.
Initially, the laptop would not power on. After troubleshooting and taking measurements, I found that a capacitor was shorted, which was preventing the system from starting. I removed this capacitor.
After removing it, the PC now powers on for a few seconds and then shuts down. I believe this behavior is related to the missing capacitor, which is no longer performing its role in the circuit.
My issue is that I cannot identify...3 Photos-

Hello i've bought used rtx 3080 founders and it runned and didn't crash however it had 85 degress celcius on core. After dissassemby i noticed cracked capacitor under backplate poorly spread thermal pase and too thick thermal pads. Can Someone help me find that kind of capacitor or replacement i can manage with soldering....

I’m using a 10 µF, 20 V tantalum capacitor as a decoupling capacitor across a 5 V supply. When I power the circuit, the capacitor burns out.
At first, I assumed the tantalum capacitor was defective and replaced it, but the new one burned out as well when the circuit was powered.
I then replaced the tantalum capacitor with a 10 µF, 63 V electrolytic capacitor. This time, the capacitor did not fail after powering the circuit.
I do not understand why the tantalum capacitor burns up?-

I have an Intel X520-DA2 10G NIC (board revision E57333-003)
where capacitor C180 fell off near FB4 area on the back of the card.
I measured C180 on a working identical card in-circuit and got ~16.5µF reading.
I estimated the actual value is 10µF 0402.
Can anyone confirm the correct value of C180?
Is it 10µF 0402 16V X5R?

by jkucukovI have a ASUS Zenbook 13 UX333FN motherboard that I need to replace a SMD capacitor. This SMD capacitor is located on the back side of the motherboard and is really small (C0201), however I need to find the specs of the capacitor (Voltage rating and Capacitance).
I was fortunate to find Boardview file for however all I was able to get from the file is the Capacitor reference designator (C6353), here is the information:
How would I be able to get Voltage rating and Capacitance of the SMD Capacitor?
